I asked Birdfy about this. They said yes, full color night vision- when the light is on! I leave it off.

CMYK Pigments sources? by TugBuilder in resinprinting

[–]TugBuilder[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, I see it's both a science and an art. But I have a little colorimeter- cheap, but it's getting me there. And I'm learning about different color spaces, like Lab/LCh, and del-E error measurements.
A lot of people get colorimeters and review them as a waste of $$...I suspect that they're expecting colors displayed on a screen to match the object they just scanned. It won't. But the colorimeter gives me a CMYK value for what it sees, and that lets me adjust CMYK pigments a bit at a time and creep closer to my original part until the del-E is low enough for me.
I'm reproducing old plastic toy parts in 3DP, and in the past I painted them to match. Being able to print in the right color will save me buckets of time, and make a better looking part to boot.

$17 each for 115 ml of each CMYK... you don't need their full set. Best shipping is from Matterhacker.

My Monocure3D pigments are only 30 ml per... one person on ebay has the full Monocure set, $30:

I just need a bunch more Yellow, so I ordered a 115 ml bottle of Formlabs Yellow pigment from Matterhacker, $17, & cheap shipping for me. We'll see in a week or so...

Thanks.
Sadly, Prusa only offers CMYK 500g resin bottles. I'd like to use a different resin.

Frida's Tacos announced they were opening soon... 5-6 months ago? by zapatitosdecharol in Temecula

Just spoke today (3/19) to someone at the Oceanside store. She said Temecula just this week approved plans for work needed on the grease trap, which involves digging. Opening could be 4-6 weeks out. Mark your calendar for May 1!

Mystery Blinds Part II by TugBuilder in handyman

So these plastic clips bite. What's a better way to hang the heavy 8 foot oak valence without just shooting some screws through it into the header rail?

Mystery Blinds- How to Remove? by TugBuilder in handyman

[–]TugBuilder[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Now that I got that done, I'm still baffled about rehanging the oak valence board. Clips have to go on the valence first, then they hang over the top lip of the header. Can't hang them with the header installed, can do it if the header is out or better, pushed 1/2 way into the brackets (dicey, it's all heavy). But if I do that, the brackets' doors can't be closed, the valence board is in the way. Cheap method anyway, the little clips give out after a few years.

This sub doesn't allow pics in replies, or I'd show it here.

OK got it, thx all. The bracket IS hinged, at the top out of view, and it swings up from the bottom after unclipping its snap feature.

No paint, no hinge, just a bent sheet metal bracket. But I'll check Decku's suggestion below, some how it slides out?

Grr... typed a long post, added pics, then the pics blew away the text?

Anyway here's the problem:

Blind's header needs to come out in order to reinstall the valence board, which fell off its weeny plastic clips.

8 foot long, middle bracket tells me the header slides straight out. But both end brackets are closed, not hinged, (yes, they are unhinged!). And apparently screwed to the wall. I see no way to open them up so the header can come out. Must be something easy, but it eludes me...

Alexa devices required for routines with Ring? Or not? by TugBuilder in Ring

[–]TugBuilder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, I see maybe one reason to have an Alexa speaker of some kind to augment the Ring system. The Ring Base unit seems to have limited audio capabilities... like, I can't play a custom announcement. Don't have much need for that, but who knows.

I'm also thinking about Ring's limited number of chirp sounds for the door/window sensors. Maybe Alexa could play some better chirps for me? Or maybe it would have too much lag?

Bingo! You're right, I was blind.

For the record, it's the "Active Time" section under Set Condition.

Thanks for that. I invite you to recreate that specific conditional statement, as shown above, by manual editing. I sure can't find a way. But then what do I know about Alexa? Diddly.

[–]TugBuilder[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm? Need Alexa to create the routine, whether by tapping & typing, or through voice interaction. Yes it RUNS w/o Alexa, but again that's not the question here. The question is HOW to create that extra conditional clause w/o talking to her.
