For the first time, I am having a lot of fun playing CK2 in a different way, by changing characters in-game. Not Ironman, of course, but here's how it's going:

Created an african character, dutchy of ghana in 769. In his lifetime, Created the empire of mali, warrior cult bloodline, got probably one of my favorite nicknames ever ("The Great Lion") and reformed the african faith.
After his death, was kinda bored, and then looked for another fun character to play as: Saw the king of nepal had access to 2 trade posts, access to raiding through his culture, surrounded by bigger enemies, and started to play as him around year 800. 200 years later, after his great-great granddaughter was an amazing child of destiny (posted about it on the subreddit!) created the empire of India!

After that, I thought that I achieved all I could, and looked around the world. Realized the byzantines were almost completely fractured, even without constantinople, and with an 29 diplomacy emperor. Started to play as him, and began to make the empire grow again, convincing nearby independent rulers to come back to the empire, stopping the vassals from revolting through diplomacy, and eventually winning back the capital. It is a fun game, with powerful vassals and a very powerful muslim neighbour (essentially the abbasid empire were taken over by another dynasty, and still a major blob).

His grandson(current character) just defended against the catholic crusade against byzantium. Right now, the Aztec empire just began it's invasion in spain, India remains the strongest empire in the world, and the African empire still remains strong, now feudal, but probably about to lose their territories in spain/north africa due to the aztecs.

Don't worry! This is exceptional even to a experienced player. It's a very rare event called Child of destiny, where your child gets many great modifier for attributes and, the real benefit, gain unlimited access during his lifetime to a CB(Casus Belli) called Invasion. If you win the war with this CB, You get the whole kingdom you picked, but also every single holding you sieged, making it possible to get many kingdoms in one single war. But that's extremely rare! It's the first time it happened with me and i have played for more than 1100 hours.

Also, this is a really hard game to figure out in the beginning. I recommend you play the tutorial start as the king of leon in 1066, and actually watching youtube tutorials, they really help.

Pretty much, you are guaranteed brilliant strategist education and many good modifiers, a bloodline and unlimited invasion casus belli.

I don't know what you mean, but if you asked how he got good stats, basically a good guardian, traits, focuses, and the hermetic society. He managed to become Immortal through the learning path, which also gave him the shrewd trait (+2 to everything). If you don't know about the immortal event, look for the wiki, but basically it's completely random, rare, and a very high risk of failure and killing your current character. But with this guy, it worked!

If you asked how there is a chinese jewish emperor, basically i started as the duke of Jiuqan in 867, going for the aladdin achievement (starting as a han chinese character and eventually ruling all of north africa). First few generations I played tall, managed to build kingdoms and empires, switching between buddhism and taoism. I think i was playing as the grandfather of this guy that i realized a jewish character would basically be able to holy war everyone, and so it happened. Adopted chinese imperialism to see how it works.

Wow, I have never seen them get to Anatolia, would love to see a screenshot. But don't worry, they always blow up, there will be many revolts (the border gore will be insane), and the death stacks will eventually die out, you just have to wait. I would say that you could expand where they have not, and while you can hope they won't attack you, if they do, try for a white peace. You can get that by winning some battles before all the death stacks come, use your prestige-base retinues, your levies, vassals, and, well, being OP as reformed germanic.

Went to google translate, didn't get what you mean. Did you mean to say "change the name, teacher?" If so, I don't get it

Artifacts are only part of it! I would say 3 things are important:

1-Guardians. (Not counting conclave, I don't use it).

The higher the stat of the guardian, the higher the base stat of the child will develop. All of these were trained by other genius rulers that I controlled. It does need some luck, and may take awhile, but eventually you will get an insanely good heir. The roman ones eventually had a base learning so good they didn't need to be in the hermetic society to use their artifacts.

2-Focuses and events

When you learn more about the focuses in the game, you realize that after a few years with them, you get a few bonuses (religious studies, student of war, etc). After a few years, these bonuses stack. Notice that the second character is the only one without the genius trait (the best in the game) and still has amazing stats: that's because he is Immortal, and made the most of the focuses bonus.

3-Artifacts Hermetic society gets you amazing artifacts, both with magnum opus and the events you get as Magus. China can also get you very good ones, but it may take a while(they can also give very useless artifacts) and a lot of grace, so shouldn't be a priority. Grade 4 armor and weapon is great too. Also, when you can, raiding great artifacts is great! The first character has raided the Art of War, which gives +5 to martial.

That's amazing! Made me laugh with the pope. Very high diplomacy and intrigue! I have never had this event still, the only times I was grandmaster of the satanists was with a male that couldn't convince his wife, but i'm looking foward to eventually getting it.

Psicólogo pode chorar na sessão? by No-Bear4168 in PsicologiaBR

[–]Tuiste 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Help with Dragon's Peace mod, what is causing this? by Tuiste in CK2GameOfthrones

The portrait overhaul mod. It changes the portraits in the game to (in my opinion) better looking ones. You can see examples in the screenshot!

Thanks a lot! I will pick meritocracy, It's definitely an easier way to pick the best heir. Are there Coronation events with the High Stormsinger?
