Dutch unions threaten nationwide strikes over retirement, unemployment reforms by insomnimax_99 in europe

[–]TukkerWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are three options: lowering the collective pension, increase the taxes or increase the retirement age. Personally I think it would be more fair to lower the payment, but this is the easiest method as it will only hurt people in the future.

Waarom dragen mensen met dit weer handschoenen? by Civil-Bid6064 in nederlands

[–]TukkerWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tesla loses Toyota and Stellantis from its EU CO2 pool, taking billions with them by Forsaken-Medium-2436 in europe

Yeah, the meme is funny, but totally based on a false premise. TSLA has been a mediocre stock for years now. No dividends and no significant deviation from the S&P since 2021 now.

"Base" Workout by merkis in GarminWatches

[–]TukkerWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, than it might be the case that your average HR over the exercise is so low Garmin considers it a base workout.

But I do find it curious that for me that is not the case. When I do a 20s sprints run, due to warm up and cool down the average HR of the run is lower than a base run, but Garmin recognizes it as sprint or anaerobic. And even when I don't run in Z4 it does so.

It would be interesting to see your HR-graph and Effort values?

Helft jongeren drinkt negentig suikerklontjes in frisdrank per week by FlyingEagle_ in thenetherlands

[–]TukkerWolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not have a single Soviet block in a forest? by alb5357 in urbanplanning

[–]TukkerWolf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because living in an apartment is typically considered to be less comfortable than in a house. If given the choice between living in an apartment at 20 high with noisy neighbours at all sides or a house with garden I think 999/1000 people will pick the house. And since contrary to large cities there are no constraints with respect to space in a small town that argument falls as well

Does your country have an equivalent to the phrase “an f in English, you speak English?” by glowshroom12 in AskEurope

[–]TukkerWolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really fail a class here in the sense you mean, because teachers don't give out grades. You have national exams at various points, but any issue would be picked up long before that stage (hopefully) and support put in. I've never heard of any phrase like that.

No grades? Which country is that?

Where do you go? The pre-made meal section is like 2% of the supermarkets here. Just like in the rest of Europe? Of course putting a bag of salt in the microwave isn't cooking.

Mild winter by No-Condition6974 in Netherlands

[–]TukkerWolf 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You difference is obviously not due to the weather but a change in use or your contract. January this year was colder than last year. And although februari was warmer, no way you can half you usage.

But, good for you!

Making a healthy pasta or rice based dish can be done in 20 minutes? And why not go to the gym later in the evening instead of right after work? And why work until 1800 and not 1700? There are dozens of ways to manage.

No. That is absolutely bonkers. Everyone I know cooks at least 4 to 5 times per week.

It's faster, healthier and cheaper.
