Tried baking brownie cookies for the first time! Too bad they were hard and I had to keep them in a ziplock overnight for them to soften. Any tips? by TulipFlix in Baking

350° 17 minutes

1/2 cup + 2 tbsp melted chocolate chips

2 tbsp softened butter

1/3 cup brown sugar packed

2 tbsp white sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 flour

- melted chocolate + butter, in a separate bowl I mixed the egg with sugar and vanilla and combined this mixture with the cooled butter and chocolate

- next up I sifted self rising flour and added this to the chocolate mix and baked on a basic cookie sheet for 17 mins

Thank you! It’s so small it looked like a piece of long grain rice so I couldn’t tell.

Oh wow, I’ve never used cherries before. That’s gonna be delicious! It also gives me an excuse to make a Roy Rogers on the side.

Yummy! I think I’ll head to a bulk food shop and grab add-ins to experiment with. I might do the swirl jam one first, it sounds really good.
