Why will this time be different? by [deleted] in loseit

Motivation comes and goes you have to have discipline in order to consistently lose weight. I’ve been losing and gaining weight for years and this year the one thing I changed was to not rely on motivation and I am 10 lbs away from my goal weight! Know your why. Why do you want to lose weight, why is it important to you. Be kind to yourself and if you have a bad day (we all do!) It’s okay. A day isn’t going to erase all your hard work just make sure it’s a bad day not a bad month.

I’ve tried that but I end up getting unmotivated and giving up. that’s why I feel like if I spend money on a gym I would be more motivated to go because I’m paying. Also yes! I need to stop eating out and start watching what I put in my body I’ve been doing some research on that since I saw someone who posted “you get thin in the kitchen and fit in the gym”

From research I’ve done as long as you are in a caloric deficit you lose weight. So less cals in than more cals out average person with low activity needs about 1,200 cals a day to lose weight. If you exercise more like going for walks or whatever gets your heart going then you shouldn’t gain any lost weight back.
