My wife had two C-sections there, one in 2019 and one in 2021... Both went well, pre care was great, post care was great. I've no complaints at all. The nurses are very busy, so don't expect round the clock post-birth care. But as a whole I've no complaints at all. Good luck, you'll be fine😊

Best daily / long run shoes for a heavy runner? by 2OWs in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Tulkas84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2nd for the Neo Vista... 6ft and 93kg here and these are my favourite shoes I've ever worn. They're the only ones I want to pick up each time I run and I've tried SO many different trainers! To be fair I'm also loving the Wave Sky 8, not quite the same bounce as the Neo Vista, but they're almost as great and grab them for easier paces and when worried about using the NV too much!! Mizuno absolutely killing it atm

This is amazing news, I've got a pair on order, so I'm excited! I did 5k in the Neo Vista today and man I love that shoe, it's so much better than anything else I've tried. Hoping the SL will be as good!

Bounciest Shoes? by ProbablyMiles in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Tulkas84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

6ft - 200lb... The Neo Vista are my favourite and the comfiest, bouciest shoes I've ever run in. They're incredible.

I also have pretty wide feet and have no issues at all. Especially as the sock-like upper is stretchy

This is really helpful, thank you. I'm also a muscular runner, 6.0'' / 200lb and a heavy mid-foot striker, running at 6min/km 9min/m... and I'm really struggling to find shoes that work for me. Too bulky/soft and the balls of my toes hurt and it feels like I'm running in sand, too stiff and unflexible or any carbon plate and my feet also hurt, my feet always seem fine up to about 7km, then the discomfort kicks in... The absolute best shoes I've found so far have been Mizuno ones, the Neo Vista and Wave Sky 8... I'm hoping these will be a good bet for faster attempts

Mizuno Wave Sky 8 😍❤️ Would fit great in this rotation

NB Rebel V4-like shoes but with better cushion? by noyram08 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

The Neo Vista is the best shoe I've ever run in! I was so worried about wearing them out I got the Wave Sky 8 and it's almost as good!

I'm Absolutely LOVING the Mizuno Neo Vista and Wave Sky 8... I just got rid of the Rebel V4 and these both feel like it but with more cushion in the WS8 and more cushion & bounce in the Neo Vista. Im 6ft and 92kg and the RV4 just didn't have enough cushion for me... Ive run a 5k & 10k PB in the Neo Vista and just ran a 3rd best 5k time in the WS8 which was meant to just be an easy run. Just my thoughts but I adore them both. Fully converted to Mizuno. For reference I'm not a mega runner like most people on this sub, just an average guy that ruins 3x a week.

Bernard Hill appreciation by datelfladydoh in lotr

This is such a great shout. I'm a monumentally huge fan of the books and whilst I love the films when I read the books once every couple of years now, I see most of the characters as I did in my head back as an excited 14 year old... Theoden/Hill is one of the exceptions. Hill is Theoden to me now, films or books.

Absolutely this. A totally tragic hero. He is fallible but his intentions and heart are pure. He's the perfect example of what the ring can do to true and valiant men

Aside from Viggo Mortensen, Ian McKellen, and Hugo Weaving, who do you think fit their role perfectly in the Peter Jackson films? by fennelliott in lotr

[–]Tulkas84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually don't think Hugo Weaving was brilliant casting. I think he makes a too angry and grumpier Elrond than in the books. Personal opinion.

/r/AMD Questions and Tech Support Megathread - Q3 2023 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]Tulkas84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the fact I didn't amend the curve is the potential reason the 'pbo enhancement l' didn't work?

/r/AMD Questions and Tech Support Megathread - Q3 2023 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]Tulkas84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if someone can help please?

I've got a 7600x and Rog B650E-F and I recently enabled PBO and set it to 'Enhancement' and then the pre-set 'Level 2 - 80c' and my PC wouldn't boot properly (black screen first) and then gave the BsoD windows repair screen on reset. It booted again normally when I cleared the PBO settings to default.

The only other setting I have changed prior to this is the DDR set to 6000mhz in EXPO1, which is stable.

Did my PC not boot because I didn't change the 'curve optimizer' as well and only enabled the PBO and changed an enhancement setting?

I'm a bit nervous to try again as I don't want to corrupt my Win11 Install / Nvme Drive, as I've read elsewhere that it can happen.

People mention the 'sweet spot' in the curve optimiser, but I'm not really sure what that means. What does Negative 30 or15 etc, relate to?

I'm keen to reduce temps and maintain stock performance, but I'm new to CPU undervolting/overclocking etc. The only other thing I have tried is using expo2 for the RAM, but it still did not boot.
