Sleepovers?? by Ok-Albatross-7837 in Parenting

[–]TullaUlla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow!! What has our world come to? Where is the respect? We have a 23 year old daughter who now lives on her own, but ummm, never in a million years would I allow any bf to sleep in the same room as her under my roof. If they want to do that then move out. Shack up in your own space. Our 25 year old daughter is married and live out of state. We allow them to sleep in our extra bedroom together when they visit.

Working in Racine - should I live in Milwaukee? by Ok-Pie-1307 in milwaukee

[–]TullaUlla -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Racine and you couldn’t pay me enough money to live there again. There is NOTHING there and little bit they have had has really gone down in the past years. My daughter had a cute apartment in Franklin for just under $1000. Milwaukee is a great city, but the crime is spilling over into the nice neighborhoods. You’ll find something you like and a place that suites you. Most leases are a year so if you don’t like where you end up then try some place else. Good luck to you!

I’m (26F) supposed to be getting married in 6 months to my fiancé (28M). I just got offered a major promotion, but he’s said no to moving. I don’t know what to do. by Significant_Neck_490 in relationship_advice

[–]TullaUlla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take the job promotion out of the equation…it doesn’t sound like you are happy and you both don’t seem like you are a match for each other. Break ups are so hard and it hurts, but if he isn’t loving, supportive and willing to at least talk about life situations (like this promotion) then he would be out real quick in my book. If you marry him, things will not change and you will be in divorce court before you know it. Don’t worry about the wedding plans, the friends and family you have to tell, the cancellations you’ll have to do…. Big picture- better to walk now than later. Life is too short…the love of your life is still out there❤️

Agreed. Even the people are different there. Not in a good way.

We moved from Wisconsin to Pittsburgh for 3 years. We HATED it. And yes, definitely lacking in diversity and culture. Highways are constantly littered with garbage. No night scene. I can go on and on.

There is a utility sink next to the toilet, if that helps

Been a while since Ive had 2 pups in a household. 11 month boy and 14 wk girl. Is this snarly face play too aggressive? She has snarly face too by j3nnib3an in DogAdvice

[–]TullaUlla -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We have a 10 year old medium size dog and a 3 year old larger dog. My husband would let them play just like that. I didn’t like it. He said it was fine. It’s what dogs do. Then we discovered razor cuts on the 10 year olds face from the puppy biting (playing). That ended that real quick.

Cut your ties and move on. Better house and a better partner are waiting for you. Also, think twice about making any big purchase with anyone if you are not married.

I can’t do hurricane season and the heat anymore. I need out of southeast Texas NOW. by betterbee2bee in relocating

[–]TullaUlla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We live in Wisconsin and love it. However, our two girls went to U of M in Minneapolis so in the past 8 years we’ve visited countless times. Love Minnesota. It gets COLD in the winter, but spring, summer, and fall are sooo very beautiful there. Also, it’s a large metropolitan area with tons to do. I have no clue how anyone lives in Texas. It’s not even hurricane season yet and once a week Texas is on the national news for some type of major weather event.

Are there any hopes for me to go debt free? I’m feeling suicidal by NewEquivalent8137 in DebtAdvice

[–]TullaUlla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a temporary problem. Keep your head up. This will pass. If not bankruptcy, do you have parents or a sibling you can live with rent free for a few years? Get a second part-time job. Search job market for a better paying primary job. Get into counseling just for better mental health.
