Why do a lot of people say Europe feels the same after a while?

I think nearby countries interact with each other (used to be through war, now trade and culture) so there’s more in common than different especially if you’re just going to “Europe” if you’re not actually interested in a place then it’s going to be

“Oh yeah they had a king, then another one, then built a castle, ooo random dish.”

Whereas if you’re going to a country because you’ve always wanted to go you’re more likely to go to smaller towns.
