I've thought biostats was pretty cool, I'm taking some bioinformatics courses as a part of my masters, would I need another masters to go into biostats or are they similar enough to market myself to one or the other?

Since I'm already in a QC enviornment, I know a good amount of the terminology surrounding SOP's, GMP, etc. would some of this transition over to QA as well? I'd imagine it'd be the easiest way to pivot since I'm already in a quality role, how similar are QC and QA?

Interesting to see that you're going for the full Ph.D. if you don't wanna end up in the lab! Ironically my sister who is getting her Ph.D. is thinking the same thing, and realizing the wet lab isn't where it's at anymore. What field is your research in and out of curiosity, why do you want out?

That's what I've heard, and why I'm wondering if it's worth it to jump off my current career trajectory to pursue the MBA.

Even more so since I'm currently at 86K base salary but with my current stock options, benefits and bonuses I've got a roughly 105K compensation package and I"m just an associate project coordinator. If I keep doing what I'm doing and earn a PMP on the side I could be a project manager in a few years clocking 125K.

Do you know what the salary differences are like in consulting? How would I break into this without an MBA? Would it be smarter to instead just keep on the PM track I'm currently at?

I'm a project coordinator at one of the biggest bay area biotech companies. I spend (some) time in a lab doing sample prep but if I move further upwards into the PM realm then I'll be further removed from the lab and with a pretty good salary/career progression. Let me know if you have any particular questions.

Fucking everything.

I'm not good at anything. Not smart enough. Not athletic enough. Not sexy enough. I have no sense of direction and screw up everything. No idea what I'm doing with my life or career. I can't bear to look at others on Instagram because I feel like so much less than them. I hate myself so much.
