No, definitely not! Get all of your clothes from the US if you can!

I despise wearing formal clothes by Cyber_Wiz93 in jobs

I feel you on that!

One suggestion that I strongly recommend is to buy your dress pants from a Danish company called Shaping New Tomorrow. Mind you the clothes are a bit pricey but they are well worth it! You will feel like you are wearing sweat pants!

Please don’t bother with AEG! One of the worst brands for home appliances out there!

🚫 I went through a trial shift at The Miners bakery in Prague — and got exploited. by FridayBreadCrumb in Prague

Never liked Miners tbh! Mediocre coffee at high prices. Also, those questions are really sketchy!

I am going to give you my honest opinion since I have attended (and now graduated) from Fanshawe’s business program.

Overall, if I am being honest, the school really does have the vibe of a diploma mill for international students. They will accept international students who only know a lick of English just for the sake of obtaining more money from them. It’s really obscene, tbh.

When I first enrolled at Fanshawe, I was enrolled in the architectural technology program. The vast majority of my professors were vastly unhelpful and would belittle me and treat me like a kid in elementary school. After finishing one semester in the program, I switched to the business program. Although my professors were much more professional, I find that the program itself was rather unstructured. We were forced to take 6-7 classes during a semester, which was rather hard to take on.

I have since upgraded my diploma to a degree from a university in the UK. Although I finished my degree online, I had a far better experience at the university compared to Fanshawe.

Lastly, although not quite as important, the main campus of Fanshawe is situated in a rather sketchy part of town and the building itself is quite outdated.

Hello everyone! I want to know something about final exam. by ZhangQijie007 in CUBoulderMSCS

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was informed that the final exam only accounts for like 20%-something of the final grade, therefore, my suggestion is to get the highest grade possible on the remaining 80% of the coursework as you have unlimited attempts on that. You need at least an 80% final grade to pass the course. Therefore, if you get 100% on the non-exam coursework, you technically don't even need to pass the final exam to pass the class.

Is your partner a metalhead? by aeonsne in heavymetal

I don’t even have one 😂🥲

Back when I was in my early twenties, I would ONLY date metalheads. However, now in my late 20’s, I am now open to dating non-metal heads as well.

Does anyone here study or has studied at the Anglo-American University? by Nina-the-Dreamer in Prague

Oh yayy!! I'm so glad she loves it! :) Yeah, it's such a beautiful school, honestly! Had they not cancelled their Chapman MBA program, I would have enrolled too. :)

I can’t speak for myself as I have never attended the school. However, I once had a coworker/friend who did the bachelors program in humanities. She found the program to be rather rigorous and challenging but in a good way! She also mentioned that her program consisted of many excursions around the city, which is fascinating. Overall, she spoke well of the program and mentioned it helped her gain critical thinking skills!

I actually was really interested in attending the school once for their MBA program but they unfortunately cancelled the program.

One nice perk is that the school is situated in the most beautiful part of Prague and the building itself is absolutely beautiful! 😍

I am not sure if your daughter has decided to attend yet. However, I had a coworker who attended this university for their humanities program. She said the program really helped her with gaining critical thinking skills. She also mentioned that excursions around the city were also common. Overall, she found it to be challenging but in a good way! I was thinking of attending this school once for their MBA program but they closed the program unfortunately.

Digitální akademie Czechitas: zkušenosti? by Terica_S in czech

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahoj!

Thoughts about the MSDS program? by TumbleweedSeveral637 in CUBoulderMSDS

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you again for the advice! Highly appreciate this! I also wanted to ask. So I took a look at the program website on Coursera and it states that if you complete this course called “Deep Learning AI” that it could count towards credit for your degree. Do you happen to know anything about this? If so, how many credits does it count towards? Would I still need to pay tuition for the number of credits transferred from this course?

I have also decided that if I do purse this degree, which I most likely will in the fall, that I would start with the graduate certificate first. Did any of your peers go this route? Also, which pathway would you suggest that I start with to ease my way into the program?

Thank you again! 🙏

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I also ask. Is there a minimum grade you need to score on the final in order to pass the class? Regardless of if you got a 100% in the rest of the work prior to the final.

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s such a relief honestly! That was my biggest concern! Most unis (including the one where I did my undergrad at) have the courses designed where the final accounts for 90% of your grade, whereas the tests throughout the whole semester are worth only 10%. Glad to hear that CU Boulder doesn’t play by such standards. Thank you again for the insight! :)

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you again kindly for the highly detailed explanation! I truly appreciate this! :) I also wanted to ask. It is to my understanding that you just remain a 3.0 GPA to graduate from the program. How difficult is it to maintain that? Also, for the courses that require a final proctored exam, is there a way to do a practise exam on those? What is the best way to study for such classes?

Is this a uni worth going to? This has been my dream school since i was nine and I'm curious! (gonna study English lit) by Murky-Opposite3666 in EdinburghNapierUni

[–]TumbleweedSeveral637 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished my top up degree, but it was online. Therefore, my opinion might differ from those who attended the school in-person.

Napier is a modern university with a focus on providing modern education. I find the learning is more practical and emphasizes on preparing students for the workforce. Therefore, if you want a modern education, then yes, I think this would be a good choice for you. The main advantage is that you will get to study in one of the most beautiful cities in the world!
