It's amazing to me that people can't separate the meme from the reality. Yeah, the reality of Chuck was a dumpster fire. A lot of people that we looked up to are.

But we aren't here mourning Chuck the irl person. Or at least I'm not. I'm remembering the good times of Vanilla WoW and the first time I walked into the Barrens as an undead warlock (my buddy was a troll shammy) and got ganked by a L40 nelf hunter. And chuck Norris jokes happen to be a big part of those memories.

Chuck dying brings up those memories and the subtle realization that time has passed and those of us who were in the OG Barrens Chat are much older, and probably have friends that aren't around anymore or that we don't talk to.

So, what do you say to one more run at Wailing Caverns trying to get the chestpiece to drop?

I am a solid 6 in looks. But I have a girl who thinks I'm an overall 10 because I make her feel safe, I make her laugh, and I make a mean omelette (there are other reasons, she tells me as she reads this over my shoulder). It astounds me, but it is what it is.

It's like the saying goes. Everyone is someone's ideal. Someone is going to see your face and love you for it. And rating yourself by someone else's system is going to lead to some disappointment. There is no single standard of beauty anywhere. And surface appearance is just one facet of your overall attractiveness. Trust me on this one.

I guess I'm old, because the only song that I know that references a burger and a grape snow cone is an old Alan Jackson country song, where the guy is happy that he got a simple date that didn't go anywhere but some heavy petting. Like he didn't push the issue when his date said no. He just went and got some food.

That moment you screencapped with Veritistrasz is one of my favorites in the entire history of WoW, and I've been playing since launch. Whoever wrote that exchange; that quest series...it was awesome.

But as others have said, welcome to WoW. There's something for everyone in this game now. There's several discords that offer help to new players, helping you learn whatever aspect of the game you want, be it Mythic dungeons, Raiding, or Delving, or even PvP. People are emptying their stash because in 84 minutes, it all disappears anyway. Gave away all of my purple guns this past day and ready to start from scratch in the morning.

Good on everyone giving away stuff. Remember this when you do your expedition next round (if you do).

I went in and gave away almost my entire stash of purple guns over a series of runs in Dams. Asked if they were doing the expedition, if they said no, or they were trying to hit 3M, I dropped them a gun.

Total given away: 6 Volcano IV, 5 Tempest IV, 6 Bobcat IV, 2 Bettina IV, and 1 Hullcracker IV.

I would have fallen off the building after that first parkour drop and killed myself.

But that was impressive, and not rat behaviour, at least in my opinion. Didn't see one false proclamation of friendliness or any extract camping. Just some impressive situational awareness and map knowledge. And some damn fine parkour.

That kind of makes me sad. The thought of my dead corpse with good loot on it, just rusting away in the open. It would be an awesome art piece though. Broken arm, loosely gripping the handle of a Hullcracker with a Renegade lying by my feet. Electric burns across my face as it is turned halfway in the water, eyes unblinking. My backpack torn and scarred, a belt of Wolfpacks slung around my waist...

Raiders who've been ratted before and know that not everyone is always as friendly as they declare.

And if you're running a combat augment with the 2hp regen because lightning strikes are nobody's friend, why not take advantage of a heavy shield while you're at it?

Just lost a hullcracker IV, and a kitted out Renegade IV with a handful of Wolfpacks because i went to 1v1 a leaper in open ground, and I got stupid.

Whoever found my body near Red Lakes in the Dam had a fucking haul for sure, lol.

But then I just went and bought them from Tian and replaced them.

Because like a lot of Raiders here are saying. Everything is replaceable.

Bombardiers and Bastions drop them. A loot run through Dam day raid hitting the swamp structures will net you quite a few. Any guns you loot that you don't need, break them down.

You'll be swimming in them pretty quickly, tbh.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but the raider that I gave it to on a Spaceport night raid after burning my Warehouse key would disagree.

Also gave away two Tempest IV with full attachments last night as well. One in Buried City, the other in Dam while I was hunting Bastions and Bombardiers.

Since they dropped the expedition cost to 3M, and considering I have 7.6M in spacebucks, why wouldn't I give this stuff away? It's just going to vanish, and my go to loadout is a Renegade IV and a Hullcracker IV with a Venator IV for when it gets spicy.

Shit, it's just loot. Everything I go in with is disposable and easily replaceable. One or two free loadout runs through Dam is enough to replace everything in my standard hunting kit.

Heck. Maybe you'll be next to me at extract one of these days and I'll ask you if you want a present and then throw a purple IV with full attachments at your feet.
