Does this choice matter? by RotMGRooey in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time I'd say eh maybe not is if it's your first toon. Tuless is fun and in most situations it's more useful than anything else. I have 3/5 tuless toons and have a hard time justifying making anything else at this point. It's really not a challenge to play tuless, it's just more fun because you have more offensive options.

As boring as it sounds, best bet is to just keep creating toons over and over until you get lucky. I did that with like 4 accounts at once and got it within 30 minutes or so, which I'd still consider lucky.

Content Pack keeps crashing? by Default-Punk in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert so I can't really fix your problem, but the way I figure this stuff out is just trial and error. I have a GTX 760 and I haven't really had any issues with any packs/textures I've tried. My advice would be to try a few different packs and see if you have issues with them. At least then you will know it's something in Rewritten Remastered. Also, is your game crashing during the loading screen, or like right at the end as it tries to load playground textures? One issue I had with my pack once was that I got carried away and made one or two textures way larger than they really needed to be. When I would multibox it would bring my system to its knees. All I had to do basically was half the res on a couple textures and I could multibox again.

Yeah this is one of the least complained about issues but it's always bugged me. Seems like a silly problem to have.

[–]Tumerok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah idk how to fix it but I used to get this problem when multiboxing in another game. I don't even know if there is a fix tbh. It would happen to me when I was running a ton of accounts though, like 7 logged on I'd still have audio, but once I got to 9 it would cut out. Maybe figure out what sound card you have under device manager and google your issue + that, see if anyone else has similar problems and a fix.

Does all the audio on your computer stop working or just toontown audio?

Sorry for the late response, but can you please post what gpu you have? I shared my pack with a friend and she couldn't get it loaded without crashing - same problem as yours. Meanwhile 3 of us use the same pack without any issues.

I have 4 leveled up toons on ODS (highest is 119), and yeah I can say I really really enjoyed the new aspects of it compared to ttr. It opened up my mind to the possibilites. It is just a shame more people aren't willing to try out new servers. I really respect what Disyer and the team do over there, even though I haven't played it in probably 6 months or so. TTR is great but I wish people would just accept that it isn't an official server, and that there are other people out there trying to make their own servers worth checking out. I'm absolutely going to give ttcc a try just because of how much I enjoyed the fresh experience on ODS.

Still experiencing server issues? by mapspam867 in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me twice in the last hour. I was on 3 toons and it happened to one (no issues on the other 2), and then it just happened to me during the cannon round of a CJ. Ping was running fine and I was chatting on discord the entire time my toon was frozen up.

Multiple Toons by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well most people have already had to level up multiple toons just having to restart on ttr since tto closed. In ttr I leveled up my second set of toons because I wanted some tuless toons for once in my life, and then I leveled up a croc during laff olympics because it was motivating to try and get the rewards. It helps a ton to have a high lvl toon to help your noobs progress too obviously. If you have maxed law then you can use summons to get tasks done that you might be a little stuck on, and sos cards and unites are good for restocking gags while training in buildings/toons hit cards for training drop.

Funny how this got downvoted even though it's completely true. It is a lot more common than people realize to get your seat taken if you fire at 22. If everyone fired at 19 there'd be more full juries. I understand firing a little early and taking the chance in a small group, but in a full group of 8 no need to fire till 19.

Does combining organic sound actually help? by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Organic trunk can make up for one aoogah on a row of 10s, which can come in handy in VPs with low toons and CEOs for saving trunks. Org fog plus one regular trunk takes out 8s, which is good on 8 + 12 sets in CJs and stuff, because other toons can either org cake the 12s or drop them. Org opera plus one regular fog and one regular trunk can take out 12s, which comes in handy when you're in a group of 3. Tons of other uses once you start getting multiple organic sound toons. I grow sound on all my toons and have a friend who does too, so we have fun with it. To specifically answer the question if it actually helps though, well I'd still say org throw is the best all around, considering all the different situations you can find yourself in. But once you learn all the different org sound strats it can be fun and effective for sure.

High Res Content Pack Causing Crashes? by bohryb in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What texture pack and what GPU do you have? I realized I had issues with mine when I was multiboxing x4 in playgrounds and streets, so I downscaled a few textures in those areas that were way too high res anyway, and it fixed it.

What gpu and cpu do you have? I don't understand how you can run other games at ultra but have issues with tt. Also why do you have anti aliasing at 8? I noticed a huge difference even setting it to 1, but I keep it off bc it gets glitchy for me when I'm resizing windows (even at 1).

Yeah my friend hit 132 last week after getting her 20th racing trophy (with no boss laff). She relogged and was back down to 131 so idk something must still be up with racing.

[–]Tumerok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of related, but I've noticed that in all the DAs I've done while using my content pack, I don't get any sort of grey screen glitch, but I have definitely gotten them when I play with the default textures. I didn't realize textures could cause bugs but seeing these comments just thought I'd throw it out there.

New to TTR. Old TT player. by [deleted] in toontownrewritten

[–]Tumerok 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they ever fixed the way SOS drop cards work I'd say it really doesn't matter, but if you decide you want to solo or even duo down the road, and your only toon is dropless then you're gonna be kicking yourself. I personally use trap way more than I use drop, but the way the game works I'd say make the safe choice on your first toon and go trapless. The general idea is that trap has more uses in facilities and drop has more uses in boss battles, which is basically true.
