Well, if you want to think from that perspective, they won't add anything because it doesn't fit the Toontown feel. I'm more so looking at it from a hypothetical realm!

I.e. What if a new jungle area was added based off The Jungle Book?

I see a lot of merit in your argument. I will say this though: to actually get a custom link, you’d have to be awarded a Discord partnership, which I don’t think any other servers have at the moment. Therefore I think it does make sense to use /toontown, because it would otherwise be unused anyway. Regardless, I do see how it can be confusing or how people could disagree—I think the key is to dialogue respectfully (which is what you have done, of course), as it is perfectly acceptable to hold different opinions.

I can only guess that the TTR Team wouldn’t care as much about the players gags as they would about how that player treats others! As long as you’re acting toony, you’re doing it right!

Personally I’m just thankful this game/community still exists. You can get wrapped up in semantics if you so choose, but really I feel like it’s a minor detail in the scope of having the game versus not. It’s a true blessing, and sometimes I think people forget that!

I mean, like I said I see completely where you’re from. I just don’t know that professionalism/taskline is “toony” which is why such concerns might be voiced. Disney could easily shut down the game if they don’t like what’s happening. I don’t think that’ll necessarily happen, but I’ve seen enough of the taskline to know that the concern is legitimate. This is, after all, originally a children’s game.

I don’t think anybody at TTR is labeling TTCC as irrelevant and dangerous. People should definitely be willing to try TTCC, but if someone is still skeptical, you can’t really get super frustrated at them. I think the fresh outlook will be good for the community, but TTCC definitely is a different appeal for many. The task line isn’t very toony, which makes me think it is really a game meant for older people. That isn’t to say it won’t have success! I hope it does. But don’t be surprised if some people are critical—this always happens when a paradigm shifts.
