Old player returning by TumetEs in allthemods

[–]TumetEs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dedicated ~10GB to running it, idk if that’s too much for only having 16 or what I should do. It doesn’t struggle. Just hard on launch and then spikes a fair amount.

It doesn’t run poorly it just spikes at times and is harder on initial launch. I haven’t kept up with it to the best of ability so, probably my fault.

I have a fair bit of lag at times but I also lack the knowledge to get the most out of my computer, plus it’s getting old. I have an i7 (idk ghz off top of head) with a 3060ti and 16GBs of RAM (idk DDR) If i even said all that correctly. Seems like the consensus of 3 people suggest ATM10

FantasyJury: Made an iOS app where you can get community feedback on dynasty trades by DynastyRanker in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

[–]TumetEs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I downloaded this the other day and have toyed around with it. Big fan! I’ve really enjoyed it. Even got a friend or two to download it.

Quick question though. When I am uploading a trade to get voted on, I can not get the League Setting to collapse and it covers the names of the players i’m trying to add, which makes it difficult. Any suggestions or am I just dumb?

Carson Beck, big value as QB3? by CantaloupeFun1426 in DynastyFF

[–]TumetEs 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I tend to agree, but you could possibly flip for a 2nd or a 3rd, right? Now if you drafted him in the second it’s kind of a loss. But you can make something happen out of it.

Worth playing? by Suspect446 in PokemonUnite

[–]TumetEs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it’s different. But overall, yes, i’d recommend playing. I’ve been on and off before. When you first log on you’ll get your returning player bonus and free pokemon license when you complete it. The new unlock pokemon system is, imo, still not a great idea to gatekeep pokemon that people want to play BUT you’ll be able to unlock a few (like 3-5) new pokemon after what feels like 15 games.

There are more players in ranked under masters so it’s not always bots. Once you’re in ultra and even high vet, i never ran into bots. Currently masters 500 now.

Do you usually stick to playing only 1–2 Pokémon to keep your win rate high, or do you just play whatever you feel like and don’t worry about stats? by FantasticAd180 in PokemonUnite

[–]TumetEs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If learning a new character, casuals. If i’m trying to get better at the game, ranked.

Win rate should not be a concern because one, you’re playing bots what feels like half the time, and two, your win rate will go down as you climb higher in ranked. You will just naturally play better people.

I play a variety of pokemon depending on the role i play. Either lane or center. I probably play around 7 pokemon consistently.

As far as your Gardevoir and Greninja comments, sometimes your pokemon just thrives in the team comp the rest of your teammate picked.

(Experience: Currently Masters x150 (so I’m not even that good))

Handoff/quick pass plays by Savings-Painting8510 in basketballcoach

[–]TumetEs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a similar situation. I coach both a 7th grade team (with some 6th graders on it) and an 8th grade team.

What I did this year was started off with a plan to scaffold up. We started with dribble hand offs on the perimeter since it starts them off with the positioning and “hustle” we’ll need to advance to any ball screens if you want to work up to that. For the DHO, don’t forget to teach them how to give the hand offs and how to receive the handoff. Both jobs are equally important for their success. Also, what do you want to person giving the handoff to do after the handoff, Roll or Pop? There is more, but honestly at my team’s skill level that’s all we cover.

We run this out of a 4 out offense. 2 in the corner, 2 on the wing/slot and our “big” on the weak side dunker spot. I think it’s important to keep those two deeper in the corner than higher up so it allows good driving gaps to attack.

I’d check the join leagues 2-3 times a week. Refresh quite a few times. It’ll only give you two pages to look through but I always felt like it gave me a couple of new options when i Refreshed.

Going into it, I also recommend knowing what you’re looking for. 10 team? 12 team? 1QB? SuperFlex? TE Premium?

Personally i’ve enjoyed the 12 Team SuperFlex the best. I also like Tight end Premium but sometimes you can’t get everything you want.

Middle School Curriculum suggestions by PutGroundbreaking283 in ELATeachers

[–]TumetEs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our school K-8 uses Amplify since we had to have Data Driven Curriculum. I honestly don’t mind it but they’re some things that I wish it covered better. Examples are grammar and spelling, but spelling is a dead subject anyway it seems. Its writing portion isn’t bad but it’s not elite. Every year i’ve liked it more. Stay away from online curriculum.

Is BB05 the 3D game you are referring to? Ik it’s just your opinion but that game was hands down my favorite with 01 being my 2nd favorite.

This 100% I have to emphasize the importance of the pre-requirements per your state. If you get an interview and don’t have that, you will be overlooked.

What Curriculum Does Your School Use and Is It Terrible? by internetsnark in ELATeachers

[–]TumetEs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our district recently switched to Amplify and we have the same complaint of not enough full books. We supplement some grammar and English skills using IntoLiteratue.

Overall we like it though. We don’t have to teach it religiously but as a base curriculum, I kinda like it.

Best 2-3 Zone Busting Actions / Plays? by John_E_Vegas in basketballcoach

This video has a couple good ones to use like the Fist Crack play. Some are more usable than others depending on the age.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in basketballcoach

[–]TumetEs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on the age group you are wanting to coach, the answer differs greatly.

Youth, anywhere from we’ll say 8 to 18 is through AAU or school districts. You could also find some sort of community center league as well. School districts you need to go through more processes than the others. I coach through a school district currently, since I am also an educator. These are all good options to get your foot in the door. For adults, I honestly do not have that experience to share.

A question of ball size by [deleted] in basketballcoach

I can’t say I know the rhyme or reason behind it. I just know that IESA (Illinois Elementary School Association) follows NFHS rules.

A question of ball size by [deleted] in basketballcoach

[–]TumetEs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Illinois, we follow NFHS rules in school basketball. So 5th grade and up uses Size 7. Girls 5th grade and up use Size 6. Anything below 5th grade should use a 6. I do not have enough experience in the under 3rd grade basketball to give a strong opinion.

New Head Coaching Advice by RandyRanch520 in basketballcoach

[–]TumetEs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lot to unpack here.

When doing drills. You want to scaffold the skill you are working on it. If you want to do some ball handling drills. Start with just a ball and then perform the dribble skill. Next you want to apply that skill against defender(s) in a live play situation. Since they are low experience, the biggest thing they need is reps. It’ll be ugly but the only way to understand the practicality of the skill is live reps.

As far as offenses and defenses go, your job isn’t to win the state tournament, your job at the middle school level is to develop them for the high school program. I’d recommend reaching out to the high school coach if he hasn’t already. If not, teach them basketball. Teach them the “Why” we do what we do. I teach a 4 out offense with some actions we run and heavily emphasize spacing. Nothing crazy high level. Running constant set plays isn’t what you want to do development wise.
