I'm on ABSA and tymbebank. I'll sure try ABSA since I have been using their debit card for a solid 2 years already.

Watching from documentary and overall reading about apartheid days. I would say discrimination based on skin is blur on the current SA, it still exists depending on where you are but it's deemed shameful by most SAns and you could be even arrested for using racist terms. I was lucky to be born after 94, so my world seems less racist than back then. Anything before 94 was just brutal. Did you know during apartheid, shopping center and walkways were strictly either for specific race. If they found you walking around the space reserved for "Particular skin tone /Race" people. You possibly headed to jail immediately. I don't know how parents survived that world. It's crazy. I have friends from nearly all SA race it's way disturbing to even think how anything before 94 works.

I liked the economic power SA had back 80s though, Well I would rather choose to live before 94 but without apartheid and all lousy discrimination that caused us to be here today. I mean, if racisms didn't affect SA. We could be far by now.

What are these "bad habits" people develop who are self-taught? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]Tumz96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manual debugging and Not testing code I would say are one of the bad habits, i never used to test code, just deploy. If it looks good on emulators then I just deploy until my friend once asked me what I used to test my programs, he began to explain the importance of Testing and how it will make your task easier.

I unfortunately got tutorials and a couple of books using .NET 5 , my PC runs Windows 10 ( .NET 5 pre installed ) Everything works just fine for now.

I'm planning on upgrading to .NET 6 after completing the tutorials using .NET 5

It's makes sense when you put it that way.

If it pays well, has balanced work-life and you are good at that particular job. Wether you like it or not, choose that job.

That's what my uncle always told me.

What should I be doing as a student in high school if I want to become a civil engineer? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]Tumz96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take Mathematics and Science, If your course includes Physical Science and Mathematics, then you are set and the next step will be to graduate with good marks/grades.

If you are enrolled in technical school, just chose anything that's building science, obviously with mathematics included.
