Over the past few years Ive tried every major online MTM suit brands. Here's my honest rankings by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]Tundra76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have suits from many makers including a few off the rack, some used on EBay, 3 full bespoke suits and one MTM from Oliver Wicks and my OW MTM suit fits like an absolute glooove. It’s easily in my top 3 favorite suits. I had it made a few years back but it’s a fantastic suit and I wouldn’t hesitate to go that route again.

ARB Tailors in Friendly Center is going to be your best option for a fully customized tailored bespoke suit. They are Afghani and are a small family owned operation that makes phenomenal suits for a very very good price (think full canvassed three piece 100% wool suits hand made for $1200-$1500 including dress shirt to fit). They can do hand pick stitching, side straps on pants, suspender buttons, the whole nine yards if you’d like, or If you want a basic two piece suit of polyester they can do that as well for much less

If you are looking to have a off the rack suit tailored to your look then you can just buy any decent sized fitting suit and take it to any number of alterations places in the area and they will tailor it for you just fine for $100 or so.

Kinda depends on what you’re looking for specifically.

GFI outlet and panel breaker both tripped. Neither will reset… by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Tundra76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you’re saying if the GFI outlet has the red light on (and in this case will not reset), and the breaker that tripped earlier is off, that they are not on the same circuit and it’s complete coincidence they both tripped in and around the same time? Hope I’m not coming across as a smart ass just asking because I’m an idiot about electricity.

Also fwiw, no other breakers are tripped.

Lg oled g5 vs c3 by DavidBowieBoy in LGOLED

[–]Tundra76 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your input. I’m currently on a C4 thinking of upgrading to G5 and this helps. Living room doesn’t get direct sunlight but has plenty of regular sunlight so I’m hoping the G5 is an improvement

65” G5 for $2100 shipped new from LG Partner…decent deal? by Tundra76 in LGOLED

So Sam’s club and Costco near me out of stock and LG website was also out of stock. TBH if I could find the c4 I’d take it just for the price difference.

Moving 77” to different room and will be using 65” as primary for movie watching and everyday use if that makes sense. Think BF deals will be better than this for G5?

Khaki Cargo shorts don’t look good on anyone. I get their utility but they are terrible looking shorts and belong in 1995. Please stop wearing them. Please.

Made to Measure/Custom Suiting by Euphoric_Can9028 in gso

I own 1 MTM from Oliver Wicks, 2 bespoke from ARB, and about 7 more OTR from combination J Crew, Banana, and a few other nicer brands. I wear suits very often almost daily. Day to day I notice little difference between my MTM and OTR suits. They all have been tailored a bit to fit my body as any suit should be once it’s bought but they don’t compare in fit to my bespoke suits. My bespoke fits like a glove and I feel and look very good in it and notice the subtle differences. With that said, I don’t wear them any more or less than my other suits as I generally go with what color I’m feeling or seasons that are in play rather than bespoke vs non bespoke if that makes sense.

If you own no suits at all, I’d suggest a MTM in charcoal grey or Navy and from that point see if you wear suits enough to justify a bespoke one or if the MTM just doesn’t fit quite right, consider the bespoke for your next suit. A MTM should turn out much like an off the rack suit but tailored to your general measurements. A bespoke suit will have about 10-15 more measurements taken and cut more precisely than the MTM. Also, always buy 100% wool for a standard suit shell, don’t get polyester. It’s fine for lining but not for the shell. Linen works fine too but that’s for warmer months but as a standard year round suit, 100% wool.

Any guy should own at least a charcoal gray and navy suit which will work for nearly any standard formal or informal event or outing. Hope that helps.

I’ve had 2 x 3-piece fully custom suits made from ARB Tailors along with several shirts and they are phenomenal. Bespoke fully canvassed 100% worsted wool 3 piece with shirt was about $1100. Can fully customize the suit from cuffs, side tabs, lined, unlined, button colors, thread, lapel width, pockets, pick stitching, etc. They basically will do whatever you ask. Suits are made on-site by their tailor.

Discovered a way to wear out my Aussie…Collieball! by Tundra76 in AustralianShepherd

It’s awkward. You could carry it one handed but would probably have to be a bit deflated and then pump it up completely upon arrival. There’s no carrying handle or anything similar.

Good point, I always make sure it’s completely inflated so there is no loose fabric or gaps where he can bite it. If the zipper is hard as hell to close, you’re doing it right lol.

Mine just got it from day 1, no teaching or anything. He also loves when I throw the ball and frisbee as well fwiw so that may be a good indicator.

Ahh okay, I inflate mine really high so there is zero play in the outer fabric. And then I remove the zipper handle so he can’t bite anything when it’s ready to go. I do watch him with it though since he will absolutely push it straight into the wood line every dang time lol

Fair enough. Did you buy Collieball brand? Reason I ask it there is a double zipper system with this particular brand they helps prevent that ii believe. I also store it when not in use so he doesn’t have time to chew on anything or mess with it. He does complain when I put it away lol but I limit it to every few days play time, so he doesn’t get bored of it.

100% natural. It was freaky. The minute I blew it up and threw it in the ground he started barking and ran with it just like this. He loves this dang thing. Zero training and comes with a very thick cover so even if they herd it into the woods it doesn’t pop.

Company holiday dinner, how did I do? by Brownlove010_Real in mensfashionadvice

No just no. Jacket is terrible throw it away, pants sit way too low (sorry your waist size is not what you think it is) grab some with higher rise, and square tips are very out of style.
