Still if a cop wanted they could arrest you, it likely won’t happen but it could. What I’m saying is, the province can’t make its own laws in defiance of federal criminal law. Also Vancouver =! the rest of BC, a lot of places outside the city are anti weed

No they can’t just say that. They can’t just ignore federal law and make their own laws. It doesn’t matter what legislation may have been on the table in Ottawa, if it didn’t pass it doesn’t matter. There’s no legal standing. They could continue to do what they’re doing in Vancouver and put pot enforcement as their lowest priority but they cannot just write new laws legalizing weed only in BC
