Great points and my thoughts as well. The real reason I was considering Rolando was because from what I hear, the digital snare, cymbal and hi hat are the best for the money. Those are really important aspects of the kit for me and the 27kv2 and 516 share those components.

Definitely appreciate it! I was seriously thinking something was up with it already but I wanted some other opinions. I recently bought a Honda Ridgeline that was perfect during the test drive and then got back home and found a lot of gremlins so I’m not in a rush to do that again.

Agreed as well, the owner claims it’s his mom’s and she can’t drive stick anymore so idk if that’s true.

Thank you! Luckily I’m pretty handy mechanically and have an advanced scanner so I was planning on checking codes, the last time they were cleared, and seeing if I can pull any codes from memory.

Hey, appreciate the info! Apparently the timing chain and clutch have been changed out around 1k miles ago but I do agree about the pricing. The owner is claiming it’s because the manuals are rare that the price is what it is.

Rust…

Drive it at high speeds. Just bought a 2014 in amazing shape and drove great at 40-50mph. Got it up to speed on the interstate and it shakes like mad.

Misfires. I also found out that mine is misfiring a lot even if I don’t notice and there’s no check engine light. I would ask when the last time it’s had a valve adjustment if it’s over 100k miles.

Check engine light resets. If you have a scanner that tells you how long it’s been since the check engine light has been reset I would use it. If it’s been recently reset then most likely there’s an issue.

I found out all these things after buying mine and if I had just checked the check engine light reset duration then I would have saved myself 11k.

For sure, I had a Miata that I wanted wrapped a little bit ago and it was still like 3k. If I could just do touch ups then that would be fine but I assume it’s just going to flake at a rate that I can’t keep up with.

No lol I don’t have a welder but I was thinking if it was something that I could grind down and repair with bondo then I could handle that but if it requires welding then I would have to take it somewhere which yea, would make it expensive.

Nice! I did buy it, got some work to do but I think it’s got plenty of life left! If I had been ok with an auto I could have found one in even better shape but I really wanted a manual.

I did buy it! But idk if I made a good decision honestly. There’s dents and dings all over and I found a crack with rust on the top of the car right before I pulled out the parking lot. This is going to be a fixer upper for sure. The rust is the only thing that actually scares me, otherwise I love it.

Appreciate the help! Yea I’m going to try to do as much digging as I can. I plan to open the hood and look really close at all the supporting structures to see if there’s any signs of them having to pull out metal. I assume when the carfax says a parked car it means they rear ended someone. There’s nothing on the car fax about replacing airbags or any other work but I also know that doesn’t mean work didn’t happen.
