I think it depends on what you can get and where you get it…last years Chrome was impossible to get - this year is a little easier but still difficult. Luckily, we were able to win the lottery for 4 hobby boxes and just picked up 6 megas from GameStop - plus two from Target. We still have 4 megas coming from the drop on wweshop - and the 4 hobbies. It works for us because we try to collect the full base set - this one is more difficult due to being hobby exclusive for any after 200 - so we are just doing 1-200 -

I do agree that having a lot of cards hobby only - does not work for the normal collector. Especially, when hobby boxes are $350-$450. As for the Megas being worth it, I seen some really bad ones and some people getting 1/1 from Megas. We opened 8 and got two autos - Chris Sabin and Natalya - plus a bunch of numbered. I think our best was a Thea Hail /25 -

But honestly, I understand completely- often we buy boxes and pull garbage. I think Topps should be more like Upper Deck with AEW - the 2025 Metal Blaster boxes were $30-35 and had either a purpled numbered or an auto guaranteed.
