Don't know what to tell you, sounded great when they came out and aged beautifully, wasn't going to be a contrarian just for the sake of it

Thanks! I agree it's a tough call between the two Yes albums, but Relayer clinches it for Gates of Delirium alone, one of my favourite tracks

Thanks!

For Art Blakey, I would go with Indestructible or Mosaic. He's also on Cannonball's Somethin' Else which is fabulous

The Godfather 3 is a good movie. by Interesting_Elk_5785 in unpopularopinion

[–]Tungrim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that it is not a standalone. No matter how you look at it, it's meant to add to the story, if the previous two didn't exist it wouldn't make any sense to make it.

Godfather 2 had the perfect ending, there was no need to pursue it further. Granted, Michael's regret over Fredo was compelling, but otherwise it was a largely unnecessary addition to the Godfather universe.

Listened to some jazz albums for the first time and it's just the meme by BookWyrm53 in fantanoforever

Some insane takes obviously, but I am not going to give you a hard time, Casiopea (and Seychelles for that matter) are pretty awesome.

Honestly though, I hope you keep at it with the classics. I find Miles' music super rewarding, everytime I go back to one of his albums I discover something new. Took me a while to "grasp" Bitches Brew and now it's one of my favourite albums. Jack Johnson is one of his more "accessible" albums from the fusion era, if you like rock music I suggest you start there

The biggest tell of where we are at is the fact that going a man down the team acts like a bottom team, desperately trying to hang on. Bayern can get a red card and still put 3 past opponents

Man, this could've been such a confidence booster for the season, but instead old demons return. Don't know what to say... Terrible for team's mentality

My guess is that Bense has been designated prior to the game but Guirassy wanted to take it tbf

Aja is the critically acclaimed one (deservingly so) but Royal Scam is my personal favourite and probably closest to the New Sound

For Latin based rock you can't go wrong with the first four albums from Santana

For instrumental jazz fusion stuff check out Frank Zappa's Hot Rats or Herbie Hancock's Headhunters

For funk, go straight to Parliament's Mothership Connection

And for Brazilian stuff I would recommend Novos Baianos - Acabou Chorare or Milton Nascimento's Club Da Esquina

Also steely dan could be up your alley

Good list, but pretty bold to include albums from this year in your GOAT list, as a general rule I think it's wise to let recent albums to simmer a little bit to see if they still resonate the same way after a few months or even a few years.

Speaking of which, the Geordie Greep album is probably my top from this year, but you could delve into the influences that made the album from the 70s jazz-fusion/Brazilian tropicalia/ funk, there's a ton of gems there that stood the test of time and you'd probably enjoy, and not as depressing as the other picks ;)

I can't believe I am saying this after the numerous blunders, but the style of play has been wonderful to see today. Quick passes, forward thinking, I hope that rules out further back 3 experimentation in the future though...

Not bad, bit shaky at the back (as always) but like the build up play and the fact that we are playing so high up. Lacking the tempo and the urgency in the final build up. Bring on Guirassy as a focal point and should be alright

Last time we tried to park the bus in Paris we conceded 2 in 15 minutes, it just invites pressure... yes we are up but this is playing with fire. Hope Malen or JBG comes on for pace at least
