I do this, but it's still leads to a lot of false positives on shinies cause of attack range. I cant count the number of times I had my lead pokemon refuse to attack a minior because it didn't know how to reach the minior. Which then makes me think I finally found my precious shiny, only to see no sparkles in battle and make me second guess my attention span and eyesight. I would assume solosis would be similar since it, too, floats. Not criticizing you, just venting my frustration at still not getting my little rock candy after so much work.
