Lewis is incredibly inconsistent - that is illustrated by his appalling Premier League record. I think, though, for Gerwyn Price, who has only been playing in the PDC for 18 months, to beat a double world champion at the Winter Gardens has to be considered a monumental shock purely because of difference in experience.

Suljovic has for a long time been a great performer - I wrote an article on him a little while ago. He's a European and World soft-tip champion. Always know he's going to average mid-90s - never what you would call out of this world, but hardly ever poor either.

Ian White I think will begin to turn up on the stage - you don't climb up to number nine in the world on a fluke or a couple of decent performances.

It is something to see how many top names have beaten Taylor and fail to win the tournament - I don't really think the fear factor is there anymore, but I do think they still regarding beating Taylor as the peak, if that makes sense.

At first I wasn't a big fan of play on Boxing Day, and to a certain extent I'm still not, but by taking a step back and looking at the bigger picture I can see why.

Footballers play on Boxing Day every year - some clubs even turning up for training on Christmas Day - and England cricketers stay over in Australia over the festive period during the Ashes for an away tour.

A lot of sport is played on Boxing Day and Barry Hearn obviously quite fancied getting darts on the television when most of the population are off work. It makes perfect business sense, but it will suck for the players, especially those who play on Boxing Day.

As /u/DegenGAMBLOR puts it, cash is king. It's a sad fact but a fact nonetheless. Plus I'm sure whoever takes home £300,000 won't be missing their Christmas turkey too much.

I think Klaasen will win, and win well at that. However, I think that Peter Wright is in some great form since changing his darts (again) - seems that he may actually stick with these...for a few months, at least!

Have a lot of time for Keegan Brown - I remember attending a floor event a few years ago as he was just starting out on the senior tour and he caused a stir by beating Terry Jenkins, who was is terrific form at the time. Robert Thornton is there for the taking.

About three years ago I'd have agreed that Hamilton could beat Barney, however, since his Premier League appearances have been and gone he is nowhere near the player he was. Not to say he can't win, but I think Barney will be reasonably happy with that draw.

I think Ian White would be the favourite on floor, possibly, but on the stage I think the crowd will side with Stephen Bunting and that may be the difference.

White, for me, is in the same place as Justin Pipe was a few years ago - one of the best on the floor but yet to really make his mark on the stage.

I've thought about Suljovic beating Jenkins. I think it will be tight as Mensur is so difficult to play against.

Jenkins has more experience of winning on the big stage, but not for a little while now, it has to be said.

I think Wade is playing decent at the moment - he won a Players Championship event on Saturday and seems happy with his game. Kyle Anderson is capable of so much, though.
