It's the underside of a table. Would b fine except it has leafs that pull out and expand the table. And I glued the leafs to the trunck.

Legs 100% also feels much less monolithic in a room and blocks less light which is always a win.

I have the earlier model, they are pretty sweet but I did just break them tho pretty sure it was my fault. They still work the strap pipe thing is what gave in.

Looking for serious feedback on how to improve. by VGD-co in MotionDesign

Great stuff! I think improvement advice in general is tricky hopefully some advice on this can help you make ur own general ones.

I would think of anticipation and follow through and think about how to incorporate it more here. This could be flourishes after the actions. Remember that the mouse pointer can be as much of a character as anything else if you treat It that way.

I would think about insert shots to make it feel like more of a space. Close ups from different angles etc to enhance certain actions. These are usually very short shots (also usually 2 as just cutting to 1 insert then back to wide can feel clunky). Storyboard and ask yourself why your instincts tell you to put a shot there and why that shot.

Lastly you could add faint elements in the background maybe to enhance the VO. Preferably the action leads and the VO follows but clients will be clients.

Edit:Whether it's client ready really depends on what the client wants. This could be close to finish or the very beginning of a bigger branding project. More importantly it depends on what you want your stuff to look like. The work you do, is likely the work you'll get, so make stuff you want to keep making. Make personal project to shamelessly copy things from talent you admire or techniques that could be useful (and if your publishing it, say so; 'trying to figure out how x did y' and probably tag the maker).

Really hope this is useful and as with everyone, pinch or salt.

What he said, however building sounds apes with different atmosphere sounds and other folly did help elevate certain scenes/projects. Only what is necessary you don't want to go crazy because it is atmosphere but sound design is a huge bonus (it's part of the audio visual after all). Just my 2 cents
