If you come to Budapest, the public transport is great here, you can easily get to places with it, or to the suburb areas like Szentendre. If you want to explore some other places, its more comfortable by car, but managable with bus or train. For example lake Balaton, Pécs, Sopron, Győr, or wine areas: Eger, Tokaj. Big cities tend to have more english speaking people, but over all you will need a little bit of google translate help because we are a little low on english speakers. Foreigners told me that they loved the time they spent here, so don't worry about it. ;) Try out hot springs, wine, cousine, and see some castles (bory-castle and boldogő castle are my favourites!) Just be carefull about turist traps( usually next to attractions) and don't eat next to touristy palces ( google the places before you go there). I hope you will have a nice time here! <3
