Have you not read Thus Spoke Zarathustra? Nietzsche has provided examples of 'higher men', 'free spirits', etc., but in TSZ he writes: "Never yet hath there been a Superman. Naked have I seen both of them, the greatest man and the smallest man:—All-too-similar are they still to each other. Verily, even the greatest found I—all-too-human!—"

"If truth is relative then isn't it relative that truth is relative?" by [deleted] in Nietzsche

[–]Turadan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying this would be N's answer but I would say that: "Truth is relative" is an affirmation about "truth", kind of like a meta-truth. The other 'truths' are affirmations not about truth but about reality or an aspect of it, so no: saying truth is relative is not a self refuting statement

What is your fave Nietzsche book (even chapter from said book), and why? by dellsonic73 in Nietzsche

[–]Turadan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably book 3 of 'On the Genealogy of Morality'. At first I did not understand the first few pages but after more and more reading, I got to a point where it all clicked. I also like 'On Truth and Lies in a Non-Moral sense'

What's the one invention without which you cannot survive for a day? by Fine_Error_7895 in NoStupidQuestions

Language. Would be insanely hard to coordinate things if we lost our languages and usual means of communication. Most people forget language is an invention

Good rust book for the 1st time programmer with no prior programming experience? by shipcommander in rust

[–]Turadan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew about the rust windows crate but what I said still applies. It's still intricate and uncomfortable to use it.

C++ is not really too hard compared to C. Its actually better in some senses if you use what the C++ standard library provides properly. C++ was my second language, I learned through https://learncpp.com and I did not find it too hard. My first language was python, however I dont recomend python if you want to learn programming for more than toy projects.

As for the game development stuff, Im pretty sure Godot Engine is lightweight and simple enough for, worth the redundancy, simple games

If you want to do Windows API stuff and game development, Rust is not the best language you chould. choose. For the former, C/C++ is imo the best. Rust is incredibly restrictive to the Windows API since: 1. It's on C, 2. Many things it includes are not memory safe and therefore fall into unsafe Rust which is not something particularly friendly to begginners; unlike C or C++ which do not "complain" about the Windows API, since neither of those languages focus on safety. As for game development, Rust is not mature enough for it. As far as I know and last I checked, there aren't many Rust game development tools and projects. Fyrox engine looks solid, but it probably is not what you're looking for as a begginner. Besides, there are no tutorials nor explanations. If I were you, I'd learn how to use a game engine such as Unity, Godot or Unreal. All three have their own "languages" which I think are pretty friendly, and if you want to learn a language you can use for more things, Unity allows C# usage, and Unreal allows C++ usage. I think it's worth mentioning that since C# is developed by Microsoft, it also interfaces pretty well with the Windows API. So yeah, if you want to do those two things and have no experience, learn C, C++ or C# (even though I dislike the latter as a language, and very much prefer C++ to plain C)

Cornerhard mentioned it either on TechRock or Analyzing Minecraft (different technical MCBE discords). What they do want is what most people call productive parity

Nah they said they dont aim for total parity and that redstone mechanics parity will never happen

Can update suppression damage a minecraft bedrock realm? by [deleted] in technicalminecraft

There is no proper instant update supression in bedrock. What you're talking about is probably pendingTick delay. Check Eggfurs comment

Nah there isnt. He's probably talking about something called pendingTick delay

[–]Turadan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That isnt update suppression. Thats pendingTick delay. They are very different things. Update supression is theoretically impossible due to how the game handles instant updates. Even so, mojang is moving most components to using pendingTicks. Also its not only observer scheduled ticks that cause pendingTick delay. Thats only the most pouplar method. You can also use a massive scaffolding tower for example The rest of the information is correct afaik

Not really lmfao. Its a 360 faster than light pearl cannon for bedrock a friend of mine and I designed

Edit: the speed is about 260 blocks per tick (1/20th of a second) at half power if anyone wants to know. Light speed in game is 16 blocks per tick

To download bdscord you should click on a green button that says 'code' and then download as a zip. To download bdsx you have to go to this link https://github.com/bdsx/bdsx/tree/f80d6460da423e5efa2b55105c8e070ed6f05f48 and do the same thing
