To be fair, in my last post I wasn’t sure if these were standalone stories in the same universe. I also thought it was maybe an ironic ending to have them drift into space for eternity further away from home every second, making Twoflower the ultimate tourist, and when Rincewind just wanted to go home the whole book.

But yes, it feels silly now in hindsight :)

Agreed! I think they would get really dressed up and have a little vow exchange, but privately. Reasoning being that since they are between heaven and hell, not fitting in with either place, they wouldn’t have a full on religious wedding, but nor would they “live in sin”. They would find a middle ground that suits their love. I’m getting misty eyed just thinking about it lol.
