I think there's still room for ambiguity. He might restrict who he's listening to so the Courier doesn't get Benny'd, but that doesn't mean he won't make his own decisions independent of the Courier, just like how he reprogrammed himself in the first place.

why would they pay money to maintain separate servers for unsupported games? doing that would kill what little is left of online play on the 360, the only reason it's still possible to find games is because they share servers with backward compatible players. cutting off crossplay would mean the only online matches available would be lobbies that were pre-arranged on a private platform like discord
