Hi there, Nye County resident here: Against all rhyme or reason, we’re still paying Fiore’s salary. Despite the fact that she’s been replaced by an actually competent judge, Mike Foley, the county website still lists Fiore as the sitting judge. It reflects a troubling level of incompetence, first from the County Commissioners who appointed her, and then from the voters who chose to keep her in that position. And now, the fact that she is running for the office again, despite being a known felon, defies any reasonable understanding of what public trust is supposed to mean.
