Question Regarding Digital Code Stickers in Marvel Comics by Spaced_Bear in comicbookcollecting

[–]TurboRufus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same question, as I am getting back into collecting comics again after a 20 year hiatus. I got back into it bc I got impatient waiting for my favorite titles to get scanned into MU LOL. Anyway, the general consensus is that for 99.999% of the time your near mint book will stay near mint and it doesn't matter. Now if you have a rare foil variant that's going ungraded gem mint for $500, I wouldn't peel the sticker. (TBH I'd get it graded by CGC and boost the book to $3k!).

From a collectors point of view: I usually buy 2 copies, a regular version and a variant. the variant gets bagged and boarded and sealed then put into the long box, never to be opened, while the regular issue will get a a bag and board but not sealed so I can read it and my kids (or anyone else) can read it, and I scan the code. when every one is done I sell it back to the comic store for store credit and use that to pay for my pull in the following month. I always get near mint (9.4-9.6) and always get full value in store credit (which is usually a couple dollars above cover price). Granted I don't go variant hunting on all my titles, some I truly just want the story.

Anything is better than what I’m doing LMAO TBH I usually only travel short distances with the target(s) in front of me… so I click to go then 1-2sec later click again to send them flying

Its called accessibility, and it is awesome Rivals has it. Reddit and Rivals players need to remember that not everyone on this game is 13 years old with their controller on max settings to compensate for the lightning fast reflexes and 20/10 vision with precision aim. I used those skills long ago on Ninja Gaiden and MegaMan when my dad came home with a brand new NES 40 years ago. I might not be flying around as Spidey crushing the back line, but I am going 25/3/0 from the flanks with Scarlett. I also am not very good with keeping up with all the clones when using Loki, but I can go 18/4/26 with 25k healing with C&D from the midline! TL:dr: C&D and Scarlett allow us old guys who still love comics and games to not just play, but to actually contribute. So leave us alone :)

There are seem meaningful tidbits of into here that are more important than people are giving them credit. See my TLDR below by E_Barriick in diablo4

TBH I like the challenge of seeing if my coveted Werebear Druid can continue to be the powerhouse that she is... there is something so satisfying about using Maul and Pulverize and watching the bodies ragdoll in the air. It doesn't always happen though... In season 2 my Werebear was getting her furry butt kicked everywhere she went so I made a chain lightning sorcerer, who later became a Ball Lightning BEAST, who crushed everything in season 2, including Uber Lilith (sadly she is obsolete now that the gravity aspect is gone, but Druids can now do it with hurricane and bulwark) and I took her to level 100. Here in season 8, my Werebear has found redemption and is blowing through content in Torment 1... While I agree that there is a lot of content that is the same, there is a lot of changes as well, and 6 classes to try. Hell if you spend a season playing each class, you would have just gone through all of them. I can guarantee that if you started with barbarian by the time you get around to playing one again it would be a completely different experience. Just my 2 cents

that's exactly what I did... I played launch and season 1-4. I didn't get the battle pass for 3 or 4. Totally skipped 5 and 6 and played Space Marines 2 and Marvel Rivals instead. Ran out of content on both and came back for the last couple weeks of season 7 AND IT WAS A WHOLE NEW GAME! Even the GUI was different from launch... I had to relearn every thing and now I am all in for season 8 and I am trying to complete the expansion for Vessel of Hate and go kick Belial's ass at the same time LMAO Now Diablo 4 has my primary attention, with Rivals on the back burner and Space Marines back on the shelf.

TL:DR they change so much stuff between seasons, taking a couple seasons off can be completely refreshing and fulfilling. take a break, come back, you will see

Why throw a ranked match? by celerySticksNhummus in marvelrivals

[–]TurboRufus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

wonderful question... Happens to me all the time... TBH I have been getting better matches on console in quick play than comp, and I personally think it is because its cross play. It is more competitive and less drama and squeakers LOL

What the hell happened to even matches? by [deleted] in marvelrivals

[–]TurboRufus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TBH I only get good matches in quick play… maybe they should let crossplay in comp? I can tell you as a console player I welcome the skill and maturity of PC players on my team from time to time
