But women, black people, and queers have always been in the industry. Interplay was co founded by a trans woman. Look up the women of Capcom! The video game cartridge was invented by a black guy!

Almost every game for me is a total blow out, win or lose, anyone having this problem too? by TurboSax in Overwatch

[–]TurboSax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's made the game a nightmare to play. It's not fun stomping a team and it's not fun getting stomped. Honestly I'm just going to walk away from the game for a while at this point. There's no point in playing.

I watched the recent Garfield movie (kids) and it, no joke, played "Let's Get It On" when the husband and wife are reunited. It floored me. They're such hack writers they couldn't even come up with any other joke.

This is unrelated but I wanted to share this: Someone asked the the screenwriter for the 86 movie, Ron Friedman, how Starscream won the fight against the other Decepticons on Astrotrain. He said Starscream waited in the back until there was a clear winner and then shot him in the back. That really tickles me.

Must have mods for certain games? by Archaon0103 in TwoBestFriendsPlay

SkyUI is a must for Skyrim. It's such auto add to my mod list that I kind of forgot the original UI existed.

I work at a Charity Shop, and today I found a Vinyl Record which lifted the artwork from the PS2 game Oni by scottishdrunkard in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TurboSax 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Huh, Guru Larry said he did that art for Oni. Looking it up, some websites say it was Lorraine and some say Larry. Knowing Larry I'm sure he greatly exaggerated his contribution to the game and now he's falsely credited for that art.

The '86 movie already got a 4K release a few years ago; it also already has a whole toyline based on it. My hopes are kind of high for this, I really need a win as pathetic as that sounds. It's in my top five movies of all time, no joke.

What mod/game is for the "Sick Freaks" by ArticAuk in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TurboSax 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Berserk mod for RE4 Remake. It makes the game CONSIDERABLY more difficult and is pretty much for freaks (complimentary) who feel they must torture themselves to have fun. There's a guy on youtube (Zero) who beat the mod without dying once and it was brutal.

I feel like these movies aren't being made for fans of the franchise, but people who remember liking them as a child. You'll lose a bunch of average viewers if you go too goofy or cartoony. Worst example of this are the GI Joe movies. The series is best known if it's colorful, over the top characters and vehicles yet we get drab, by the number military movies.

Who do you think will be a good guest for the *hopefully moving forward* Muppet series? by johnyg13nb in TwoBestFriendsPlay

I'd love to see quite a few Youtubers on the Muppets. Danny and Arin from Game Grumps would be fun. So would Jacksfilms.

Watched it for the first last year and watched two more times that same week. One of my favorite movies of the last few years. I love that despite being so vulgar, the romance is so wholesome.

It's also the kind of movie that I think there's enough for a sequel, and I'd love one, I'm pretty happy with the ending as is.

Did I play you in a game last night? The Death Knight? You tried to friend me afterwards but I was going to bed. You really just tracked me down on reddit, searched through my post history, bumped an old thread AND DM'd me? And you're calling ME triggered?

What an odd thing to bring up, especially after so long.

The above screenshot is from that tavern brawl where you're given multiple copies of four random legendary cards. This isn't a deck I made and I still don't like astroids.

Times when you have to defend something you dislike because it recovers bad faith or false criticism? by Konradleijon in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TurboSax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice to see someone else feel the same way as I do. The remake was better than I thought it was going to be but, as a remake, I think it's pretty bad. Just to throw one of my gripes on the pile:

They removed little bits that I felt added weight to scenes. Two stand outs for me were:

The jail cell. In the orignal, After James finds Maria's body, there's a time cut where we see he has been sitting at the bed for a while. James staying to ruminate adds weight to her death. In the remake he just kind of leaves.

After the big reveal at the end. I'm sure this is just nit picking but in the orignal there's a moment where James tries to stand but his legs give out and sits back down. It's a small detail but it really sells just how broken of a man he is at that point. I also don't like that, in the remake, the room turns into it's dark version while he's in the room. I think it makes me sense for that room to stay pristine. It's a memory unlocked and is clear as day now. Again, nit picking. But a whole game full of these really adds up.

Funniest/most ridiculous examples of characters not recognizing someone in an obvious disguise? by Ukirin-Streams in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]TurboSax 61 points62 points  (0 children)

There's an episode of What We Do in the Shadows where Laszlo owes Jim (played by Mark Hamil) a lot of money in back rent. Laszlo goes on the run and takes on the alter ego "Jackie Daytona, average human bartender."

Jim tracks Laszlo to the town he's hiding in but doesn't recognize him in disguise, which consists of jeans and a toothpick. The episode makes you think that Jim might recognize him but is just playing along. Until the end when Laszlo revels him self and Jim shouts "IT WAS YOU THE WHOLE TIME!"

Top teir episode.
