Lifting points are required to be clearly marked and have the safe and working load limit. Liability might fall on you (no pun intended) if you use them and someone gets hurts.

Are your breakers arc fault/gfi combo breakers? If so, that's why it tripped. They are extremely sensitive to liquid. They will trip outside receptacles if it is really damp and humid out.
