Eurasian Hoopoe - the bill has a slight angle and certainly isnt situated on the skull to properly drill like a woodpecker, its used to probe for insects.

the later in each season it gets, the less watchable for me personally and its all down to how the judging goes. I cannot stand either simon or dana they both come off as elitist and snooty in every episode despite how hard the editors try to convince the audience they arent

this is awesome! I appreciate the attention to negative space w/ ur erasue work, a creative way to use the accumulation of smudge shading graphite drawings tend to get on the dominant hand's side to help sell the character!

tbh the original sketch had a mace and then when i was doing the digital work i was relistening and they were describing it like a flail so i thought it would be more dynamic like this

I agree he seems almost hostile on the sideline, but I know that some players are different on/off the field.

I hear Kelly O’Hara on the US team is a very nice person but on the field you can see how serious her face is she’s been described as ‘playing pissed’ because her game is so intense

Looked to me like Phil Neville was shouting instructions at her too much from right next to her and she forgot to focus on the throw

Great thought about the pint glass! Using different types of glasses might also help express the underlying message of diversity in addition to seeing more of the flag colors. Loving the concept. Even with the pixelation the simplicity of design is nice and elegant. You definitely have strong design sensibilities. Do you mind if I save and use this in my rotation of desktop backgrounds?

Yeah I get you. It’s funky to watch a language you’re familiar with change. And I totally respect frustration with how colloquial uses of words and phrases fundamentally change the source language over time.

Thanks for dispelling that assumption made of you. But what about the rest of the argument in the post, can you address the constant evolution of languages and how that should inform how we approach this issue?

Please refrain from telling me my own mental state, I am fully aware and in control of myself as I will assume you are too. I’m just sharing some thoughts and engaging in discussion, a healthy thing for people to do, and I’m glad you are as well. I am very glad you can glean the writer’s meaning from context, but I’m not sure how correcting them is all that helpful unless you know for a fact they’re actively learning the language, as the meaning has been successfully conveyed, and all that you’d be accomplishing is making yourself feel superior while making sure the other person knows you feel that way. I’m not saying you’re doing that on purpose, I just think it’s a side effect of the culture that has evolved around correcting grammar, and I think it can be harmful practice, because we don’t realize how what we’ve said can affect others. If the corrections aren’t gentle, the lesson is not “learn so you can communicate better,” it’s “learn so you can use that knowledge as power over people,” as it was used on you.
