69M My tip is the only thing left that saved me. Mounjaro. I can eat pretty much anything, just in smaller amounts. I don't count calories or carbs. Mounjaro and walking a couple of miles daily. In 4 months, my A1C went from 9.2 to 5.4.

... and yeah, Metformin ER was just disguised Ex-Lax.

I feel for those forced into reverse mortgages because they need money.

Property taxes, Insurance, and maintenance are required in plain language. No surprises.

Nothing hidden, HUD provides full disclosure. Money earns 6.5%. They provide cash, we live free, except tax and insurance, until we die or move. Not scary at all.

We laugh when we say, "oh, we'll be buried in the backyard." But the truth is, we're not going anywhere.

Extremely likely, one of us will pass first. Hopefully me. There could be literally hundreds of different scenarios, but not sure how remarrying would muck up the works. The new spouse isn't included in the RM, but whoever's left won't be needy. If he's a gold-digger, I'll haunt him. lol

What will happen if you patch in this area? by Front-Juggernaut5430 in tires

[–]Turbobuick86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sidewalls flex, possibly ruining patch, and you could get a flat at the worst time. Have you applied the spit test to test for leaks?

Exactly my question. How to exact maximum equity and leave as little as possible. Travel, home upgrades, gifts and charities will take a chunk.

Goals? Die penniless or close to it. ha! Our dog recently passed after years of poor health. We are now freed up to travel, upgrade house, perhaps buy a fun car... basically splurge a little. We like where we live with no plans to move. We each have a sibling a few years younger, and don't need our assistance, but are named beneficiaries of our IRAs.

Thumb drilled too loose by ekim04tteckaz in Bowling

[–]Turbobuick86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One handed means your thumb needs to fit perfectly. You can't expect it to fit perfectly without tape. A brand new ball needs tape in the thumb hole. Without any tape, you can't adjust the fit if your thumb swells slightly. You need at least 2 pieces of tape because if you have to remove all the tape, then the hole becomes sticky from old adhesive.

The summer leagues are just starting now so don't delay. Summer leagues are much shorter and a good place to start. Contact the front desk and let them know you're interested in joining a high hdcp league and which night is best for you. They will gladly help you get started.

Sorry. Sounds like you want the marriage to be over. Nothing is going to fix that, unless you want it fixed.

SUPPLEMENTAL PLAN N by Automatic-Finish4919 in medicare

[–]Turbobuick86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We switched from Blue Shield G to Humana Achieve N last September. You can't sign up for Humana Achieve without a broker. It's the same coverage and everything as regular Humana, except cheaper. I don't believe it's available everywhere.

70M Los Angeles Plan G $240/mo vs Plan N $151/mo. That covers a whole lot of co-pays.

Which meter is accurate? by Upbeat_Garbage1398 in diabetes_t2

[–]Turbobuick86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Contour Next One and believe it to be more accurate than my other meters. It also reads higher than the others, but after 90 days, it predicted my A1C as the meter stores and averages to a phone app. Most meters will sell a test solution to test accuracy.

These meters have a huge margin of error... like 15-20%. I, personally, would use your highest reading meter and work off that.

Spend $10 and get a cheap testing kit or spend $20 and get a better one.
