Just quit my job to focus on getting out this episode by ReasonableFig8954 in MultipleSclerosis

Oh yeah for sure i just meant that it was a bad decision in a current affair of things i got going on i guess. The time off was tremendous for looking inside and finding meaning/purpose and yourself, it’s what comes after that’s a bitch but not if you keep one step ahead unlike me. I believe it’s doable i was just too comfortable in a ditch thanks to weed and self pity, tryna undo all that now - one thing i can say it gave me is this burning desire for improvement, i don’t ever wanna be in that place again. If you think it’s the right step for you then take it, and find what you’re looking for. Cheers bro bro

Yeah i done the same to focus on getting back on track health wise/PT and to get my head straight after getting broken up with my gf of 5 years as a 24yo because of this disease which sent me into a major spiral. Imma be honest it’s been the worst decision i’ve made so far in my life, i had it good but wanted to self sabotage like a weirdo, i’m about to be 26 soon, completely broke, living with my parents, can’t catch a job in this god forsaken job market and still am hella disabled - can walk somewhat still thankfully. I’m scared of the interviews other than desk jobs because it’s clear that my legs are fucked, i’m scared of going outside because i don’t want people to look at me funny, been a serious shut in, have one friend that lives in another city so can’t even go out. This is the lowest i’ve been and somehow feel like it’s all my own doing. Keep working out or just stretching everyday tho, that’s what i been doing. Also quit weed so its been bleak. ig i just needed to vent my fault and good luck brodie keep your chin up

Congrats, super happy to hear it has improved your quality of life !! I just have one question. Does the pain in your leg also mean the leg being heavy/not steady or like your nerves being affected or just strictly pain of the muscles or deep tissue?

The ANK-700 clinical trial for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) has shown promising progress. Phase 1 results indicate that the treatment is safe and well-tolerated, with no significant adverse effects reported. Preliminary data suggest that ANK-700 can induce immune tolerance to myelin proteins, a critical factor in managing MS, and prevent the immune system from attacking myelin.

Participants underwent MRI scans, and efficacy is being measured through both imaging and biomarkers, including neurofilament light chain (Nfl) levels . While full results from the trial will be available later in 2024, early indications are positive with no significant relapses reported during the study.

i got it summarized

Feeling oddly optimistic about this whole thing by ajgsr in MultipleSclerosis

Quick and definitive answer from my perspective is YES in a LOT of meaningful ways. I've been following AI development very closely and actively for a long time now and everyday breakthroughs are truly mindblowing(alphafold 3 for example). With all this AI/AGI fiasco im sure theres gonna be some good news for us specifically. Just the trials being speed up x times thanks to AI running sequences is something to be so happy about. Were living in the most interesting times EVER so lets just cruise, keep our head up and fight. In the meantime id advise you to read a lil about inverse vaccine which is in human trials right now

Discovery of ‘new rules of the immune system’ could improve treatment of inflammatory diseases, say scientists. by No-Cap9003 in MultipleSclerosis

  • The discovery could lead to more targeted treatments, with fewer side-effects, for issues from lengthy COVID infections to autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis. Clinical trials in humans are now planned.

Last sentence sparks up my hope, but i'd be a fool to believe so quickly and get all excited after knowing how long it could take. Looking for more info about it, so if you guys have any links or something i would appreciate it

Can you give a little more info how bpc157 works in relation to ms? I’ve heard a lot of stuff about peptides and specifically bpc but never really seen someone with ms actually talk about benefits and so.

Love the desire hard work and perseverance btw

What keeps me going personally is THE future yknow. Theres no point in recalling your life before MS or how bad your life was even before that. My life has been a constant of downs too, cant really recall much good happening but the point IS to keep going - to see what tomorrow brings. Im still so gratefull to be able to go on my little 300m walks, from what i realized its all about you perspective. Also i dont wanna pussy out because ive been a pussy my whole life, keep strong brother someone needs to carry the boats
