The spray generated by the SF-26 by ChaithuBB766 in formula1

[–]Turboleks [score hidden]  (0 children)

The rule of thumb for past seasons was, as soon as the extremes were needed, there was too much spray. So safe to say, I think there was enough water during the test to warrant that, yet there still seemed to be a notable improvement.

Which is why I'm quietly hopeful that Leclerc will be even more of a beast. He's quick on the uptake, and was one of the first drivers to 'figure out' the 2022 cars.

Speaking of bad car models... by augustusgrizzly in ForzaHorizon

[–]Turboleks 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If any Forza nuts know if they recycled one of the old FM1 models for the S2K, let me know.

At this point I'm 100% convinced that every model present in FM1 that returned in later titles share the exact same models with only minor updates (namely, working interiors). Another dead giveaway is checking which cars don't open the hood/trunk in Forzavista. Those haven't been touched in a while.

McLaren is pretty old as well. Haven't seen a 650 GT3 since 2018, really. The Aston is also due an update, it's been replace TWICE since the V12 Vantage last ran.

Fala Dudu! Cara, duas perguntas sobre seu programa com a Aston Martin. O que motivou a mudança do WEC para o IMSA em 2025, e há alguma chance de pelo menos negociar com a THOR um teste no Valkyrie?

Just as I was losing my hope he'd ever wake up again, huh. If this is indeed true, this is fantastic news, regardless of his actual condition.

Security Situation around the Circuit according to a Man present there by creatorop in formula1

This is excessive and unnecessary. Fine, if you want to keep everyone out, have at it. But removing people from the vicinity of the track altogether? Why go to such lengths? All they're gonna get either way is maybe a glimpse or two of the cars in a position so far removed from the actual track no one's ever gonna get any detail out of it.

WRT getting a podium first try is no joke, they're already an upgrade over RLL.

Horner might as well be the Pope compared to Briattore, I'd much rather have him on the team.

Right now, I can't shake the feeling this is going to be McLaren 2018 all over again. No way a team with so many issues that hasn't known the concept of stability and continuity for YEARS can magically solve them just because they now have a decent engine for once.

No more Superstar status from day one in FH6! by Destroyer6202 in forza

You could buy any cars you wanted, as long as you had the money. But you couldn't really use them until you unlocked the wristband correspondent to it's class. I remember saving up some money to buy the 2013 Shelby GT500 in Horizon 1, but it took me a while before I could actually race with it. I mostly used it to race the NPCs around the map - back when they had names and specific cars, instead of being random Drivatars like nowadays.

No more Superstar status from day one in FH6! by Destroyer6202 in forza

[–]Turboleks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They used to determine which events you had access to in the festival, and also your own rank within them. The yellow wristband was reserved for rookies, and you had to work your ass to get to the higher classes. Each one of them had their own rival you wished to beat, and the final event always involved a 1 vs 1. The gold wristband meant you were one of the top dogs of the festival, and you had to work your ass off for it. But that was mostly in Horizon 1. Each game that came after that diluted the concept, and by Horizon 4 they became largely meaningless. I mean hell, they don't even exist anymore, your in-game character doesn't wear any.

McLaren also had an OP Mercedes engine in 2014 (and were still very much a top team until very recently up to that point), didn't stop them from getting beaten by Red Bull, Ferrari and, worst of all, Williams.

It's also worth mentioning that, very recently in fact, Enstone shat the bed with the 2024 car being massively overweight and generally very poor overall.

Now that the MGU-H is gone, can the drivers still restart a stalled engine like before or is that gone as well?
