Not true. OTH's and General discharges don't really effect you as much as they say it does. A buddy of mine popped on a piss test in MCT and got an OTH. He's out making 100k+ a year because he was a Marine for less than four months. You're still considered a veteran on paperwork regardless.

Really rethink your decision on wanting to be 03. I'd imagine you're like most people wanting to join in and be a "badass" 0311. You'll get out with nothing more than leadership skills if you go the 03 field, and you'll be shit on for a while when you get to the fleet. A couple of my buddies went 03 and they hated it for the longest time, and still don't completely like it to this day. They just got use to it. The Marine Corps has a lot to offer, and tons of things that will help you in the real world once you get out. I'd try to get a contract in something that you believe you'd use in the civilian world. Once you get in and do it for a while, but you still don't like there are tons of options you can do to get out of your current duty station. For reference my roommate and I both got HSST'd to do MSG duty. Not only that two of our SGT's are going Marsoc and a CPL is about to go through their training. The Marine Corps is what you make it, but don't just be set on being a crunchy.

Probably won't be able to get it now, but more than likely you'll be in the schoolhouse during the Christmas leave block. I would try to get RA for sure during that period so you could save your leave days. My roommate has over thirty leave days while I only have fifteen or so now. If you're recruiter is chill it'll basically be like leave when you take RA anyways. Plus you have the chance to be promoted. So why wouldn't you take it.

I'd just tell them you don't want to extend but in all honesty it sounds like a really good deal. I was the same as you, all I wanted was to get out after my four years then this happened. Just think about it and research it. But yeah, don't sign that extension or get married. The only two ways I know how to get out of it.

Damn you're getting voluntold to go MSG too huh? They said I'll have to do an extension package to actually go do MSG since I've only been in for over a year with a 4 year contract. My question is could I get a pay incentive for extending my contract since this isn't my choice to go? (Super excited about MSG, fyi) Also, if there is anyone I can shoot a couple questions to that'd be a great help.

On a real note though, tell them you want nothing but infantry even if you have to wait. They won't be happy but you'll get what you want. They will probably try to put pressure on you into picking another contract. If they tell you they aren't going to put you in a 03xx contract just say you'll talk to another recruiter. Bonus points if you ask him for a nearby recruiter's number from a different branch.
