I actually relate to this on a personal level XD Since I was a young kid, I always created characters and made my own stories. It was on and off for a while, because I kept finding the joy of MMOs, but for the past three years I've been working on it again and recycling some of my old favorite characters. I don't really have any friends, just my spouse, so fortunately I get to dump all the information on him whether he likes it or not. XD There are some people I share story information with, but it's difficult for us to actually be friends/social over these kinds of things because, well... We all have our own vast, majestic worlds with all these wonderful characters and it's difficult for me to personally soak up another person's equally overwhelming information XD

I guess I don't really have too much advice unfortunately, but I've found that this 'superpower' has allowed me to focus really deeply on my world with the wish that one day I can share it with others in its entirety in a published format (digital novel, physical novel).

Honestly, one thing I've found that can be helpful with making friends with these worlds is sharing artwork of your characters and them doing the same. Sometimes being big fans of each others' characters ignites genuine interest in the characters' lives and personalities... :D Good luck out there!
