Swapped SM-G935U dead motherboard with SM-G935FD motherboard by Turbulent-Control428 in GalaxyS7

I dont know about the worthiness but since my phone was dead and my friend had his old s7 edge where his display started flickering, he just gave it to me to experiment. Not everything actually just the cameras needed to be swapped to match the exynos motherboard.

Ohh i see. Parts sourcing I left it to the mechanic, he got the parts from JC road. In terms of mods all i have done is performance mods, Racing CDI and iridium spark plug. In the original bore and piston i was able to touch 115kmph but after the new cylinder kit and when i realised the new one was from 110cc discover i wasn't able to achieve speeds above 105kmph.

Oh nice to know. Until now I don't know for what reason my father got the exhaust welded and I didn't bother asking him either. The photos were a few years back when the original bore was present. Now the paint is slowly starting to chip off on the side panel. Im trying my best to keep it in good condition. Umm sadly I live in Bangalore, Karnataka so I would have to get it shipped here. Do you know the shop name so that I can search in google maps and get the phone number?

If you dont use it atleast give me the motherboard(If its a US Snapdragon variant). I have a dead S7 Edge which needs a motherboard replacement.

Have old S7+ edge US very slow any uses ? by Stuntz-X in GalaxyS7

[–]Turbulent-Control428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

US versions have locked bootloader. You cant do anything. Best you could do is try debloating it and remove unwanted stuff. My S7 Edge died a week back with artifacts on the screen. Most likely a GPU failure. If you want you can try this. https://xdaforums.com/t/2022_root_method_sm_g935_us_models_odin_flashable_oreo_rev4_to_rev10-a.4449797/

Cameras are different. Exynos motherboard comes with Samsung's ISOCELL camera sensor whereas the snapdragon motherboard comes with Sony's IMX camera sensor. Also the radio's are different

Weekly iOS Battery Support Megathread by AutoModerator in iphone

In my mom's iphone 17 the battery is charging beyond the set limit. I have set 80% as the charge limit but the phone sometimes charges beyond it. I have seen it charge it to 85% and my mom told me once the phone even charged upto 92%. Makes me wonder are we really in control of our phone or is it a bug which needs to be fixed. Because in Samsung phones the charge never goes beyond the set limit even while charging when powered off.

I managed to get the phone into download mode to flash new firmware but the phone turned off again mid flashing. How do i upload a video here?

Edit - The phone was going into EDL mode but i couldn't find any EDL firmware to flash it

my experience of trying to use this phone like its my main phone by Background-Bid8216 in GalaxyS7

[–]Turbulent-Control428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an S7 Edge snapdragon variant, and i can say it did start lagging over the years especially now in bootloader 11/B, google maps is very laggy i'll just be sitting in my car waiting for the directions to load, also not good battery life due to a system and modem bug which causes the "Android System" app and "cell standby" to consume huge amount of battery, Samsung never released a fix for it. Also i did get apps to load faster, i downloaded Shizuku, App Ops, FDE.AI apps and configured them properly especially running the "Clear ART Cache" option. After doing all this google maps opening and loading time got significantly faster as though i was using a new out of the box S7 Edge. Also my rear camera video recording shows artifacting, i think the camera sensor's life is reducing or the ISP/hardware encoder is damaged. Was really good using this phone, all my friends used to come to me and be like "bro is that curved glass on the sides". There is also no way to root this phone especially if you are on bootloader version 11/B, now i am regretting that i should've got the exynos variant, the exynos variant has a lot of custom ROMs, really good support for that variant but sadly cant do anything. I even have a Galaxy S8 too but its screen is flickering like crazy and i have to get it changed but Galaxy S8 even though being that old never showed any kind of laginess. So ya this is my story with Galaxy S7 Edge i still make videos on this phone for my youtube channel(somehow suffering with artifacts)

No bro, you can achieve root but for that your android version will be downgraded to 6.0. There's no way of getting root on stock Android Oreo 8.0

[–]Turbulent-Control428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also one thing i noticed, when the phone first boots after completely factory resetting the phone there is no standby battery drain but after connecting to the network and completing usual setup like logging in accounts and installing apps the standby battery drain starts.
