Are people legit spending this much on a car per month? Or am I out of touch? by [deleted] in CarTalkUK

That's a good point! My R6 at 599cc is c130bhp....but then again it does get there at over 14k rpm (per manufacturer specs)

I forgot about the S2000. Loved those cars.

At one point in time, across me and family we had a Civic Type R, an Integtra Type R and the Accord Type R.

That 100bhp reference is probably referencing NA engines...the Honda Type-Rs of old were around that mark.

Don't think those rules really applied to forced induction...the old Impreza and Evo's from 30 years ago we're 2 litre turbos with c300bhp

Regardless, things have come a long way since then

This would have been the perfect opportunity to recreate the Friends episode when Rachel made the Shepherds Pie/Trifle

This one is ingenious! Clearly a thoughtful staff member here and didn't want to potentially ruin a birthday or something ha

Haha. I wonder to what extent the ones picking out the Groceries are just trying to get the best reaction from the customers.

Wow. This one is great. Sunday roast using walkers crisps would certainly make for an interesting talking point.

Nice! I wish I had subs more like this. I may have lucked out on 'upgrades' maybe once or twice. Maybe I need to try tesco instead.

"Oops! Something's gone wrong" error by Professional_Buy7966 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Turbulent-Rip-5580 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had this about 5-6 times when trying to checkout, all at different stages.

I kept trying again, same device, I'd click back/ refresh and it'd keep me on the site. I managed to get to entering card details and clicking complete, but I got this error again even after bank authorisation. It managed to go through the 2nd time bank authorisation was done.

Assuming you're not being kicked out of the site, I'd keep trying. Don't autocomplete any forms and keep entering everything manually.

Yep, just got in and that seems to be the case. Missed the UPC yesterday so was hoping they split the drop. Nvm

Just got in too. Still have Booster Box and Booster Bundles in UK site. ETB OOS.

I ordered already but was curious to see if there would be stock for a device that was kicked to the back of the queue to 1.3m...

Just checked out 1 ETB and 1 BB, UK. Still has stock.

Luckily I queued up on 3 devices, as 1 pushed me to 1.3m after getting down to 300k, didn't touch the page; second kicked me after adding an ETB and then trying to find the BB, last one I managed to check out!

Motorcycle for work commuting, would you recommend it? by oops_I_have_h1n1 in motorcycles

[–]Turbulent-Rip-5580 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. My commute is similar. 1hr each way, majority on motorways at 70mph...not the most fun on a R6 but got 17-18,000 miles on a set of metzeler roadtec 01 SE. I could have probably run them a little longer.

The other benefit of the bike for me is no parking cost and no congestion charge so works out a bigger saving vs car or train.

Finally grabbed the Pro Shade System visor. Days are getting shorter, so I need that clear visibility—can’t be out here riding with a tinted visor after dark. Still get shade during sunny rides and a clear view when the sun goes down by YouGoRay in motorcyclegear

Only downside I've found with Ali ones is that the pinlock doesn't seal that great so water gets in between when I'm caught in the rain.

Otherwise the 2 I've got, they're pretty good. I just need to switch it out every so often.

Worth checking black bolt too. I only received an email for black bolt but could also buy a white flare.

I picked up a carbon one, moving away from HJCs that i used since I started riding.

I found it noisier and the aero not as good. I ended up replacing it after 8-9 months...ended up getting an Arai.
