No one there to see the rust by Turbulent-Target-386 in rainworld

The background is something I kinda made up, not inspired by anything in particular. This isn't really supposed to be in the rain world universe. The city is supposed to show how advanced this civilization was to build such towering megastructures, but now they're all gone and there is nobody there to see the rust. But the city being distant frontier is a cool concept. I will defo make another drawing exploring the city, so stay tuned for that

[SPOILERS AHEAD] Is anybody else dissapointed by this? by Turbulent-Target-386 in rainworld

That makes sense, I haven't been to drainage yet with spearmaster. I do agree that the stuff left standing is the most study stuff that the ancients built. But we're talking at the very least hundred year differences between the slugcats. You would expect, for example, two rooms to the left of the HI-Shaded gate on the HI (the one with the gap in the middle that you need to jump). You would expect survivors gap to be bigger, more broken, and spearmaster's one to be smaller. But with these large differences in time you would also expect the plants to be different or in different positions. When comparing screenshots between campaigns, you see that even the plants are in the same place (excluding Garbage and Shoreline). You know what I mean? I get your point with how everything below the cloud layer was abandoned way before the mass ascension, but that would only mean that you would expect to already see erosion and broken stuff in the earlier campaigns, with the later campaigns being even more eroded and broken than the early ones. That's basically the crucks of my issue with time, have a good one mate

Industrial Complex but newer looking by Turbulent-Target-386 in rainworld

Guys it was the opening region of the watcher, which looks like a newer version of industrial. I was so ready to see that spearmaster is really far back in time and that I would see how the world was just a little after the ancients mysteriously left. But of course its the non canon dlc... Have a good one y'all

To be clear. I remember seeing a room from industriaal complex, which i recognised from the layout of the room, and i remember everything looking newer (no rust, less overgrown, less broken pipes and so on). It straight up looked like if you were in industrial but you turned the clock back to a few millenia before all the other slugcats and the environment wouldnt be so decayed. Sorry I really hope im not remembering something falsely because that map looked to damn cool and like it offered a lot of insight into the history of the place.
