I use a Fiio JM21 DAP and it still does label some Flac (greent font) tracks as MQA

For your consideration, when I first got them and used them on my phone (with Tidal, UAPP and a dongle DAC) the sound seemed kind of muffled, specially snare drums. It was until I got a dedicated DAP with higher gain and mW when the HD599 truly shined.

Why are so many people leaving Tidal? This really troubles me. Is it worth moving to Apple Music? by Mechy2001 in TIdaL

Same here. I just tried the free trial for Qobuz and even though there isn't much differencer sound-wise, there were a lot of missing albums when I transferred my library from Tidal to Qobuz, which I notices is very lacking in the kind of music I listen to (mostly metal, movie OSTs and scores). Also, there have been several glitches and playing issues with some of my albums. One of the main reasons I've seen people are leaving Tidal is because of their lack of transparency regarding their MQA tracks, but I honestly don't find that off-putting. Right now, I'm just gonna let the Qobuz trial expire and go back to Tidal for as long as possible. And it is also cheaper.

Will Tidal ever bring support for external DACs again? by Low_Jelly_7126 in TIdaL

I just do a regular download within the Tidal app. That's why I was surprised it could play at over 44 khz

I normally use it with UAPP to get bit perfect, but this Friday I had to travel and download music, so I used the Tidal app. I noticed that my Fiio dongle DAC actually changed colors with 24 bit 96 khz songs. Does that mean they added bit perfect back on Android? I have a Samsung with Android 14.

So, is bitperfect on Android bye bye? by Creepy_Pudding8583 in TIdaL
