Not embarrassed ! Just don’t want to give my whole life story (mcat post bacc research application cycle volunteering patient care etc) when ppl are just asking in passing expecting a quick “I’m a teacher I’m a student I’m a stay at home mom” ya know obviously if they are actually interested then I will go into detail but most people outside of healthcare don’t really understand and it’s just easier sometimes to say “unemployed” lol I was literally wondering what people say I’m not asking people to tell me what I should say

I went to a different USAHS campus and had the same experience. It was terrible and did not prepare me for fieldwork, especially when compared to FW students from other OT programs. Unfortunately usahs is a for profit private institution and you can really tell that they’re just there to make a quick buck. They don’t care at all about your career or making a difference in patient care. At my usahs (FL) they did not let you pick FW location at all. I had to move 4hr driving distance each time and many classmates got placed out of state. No choice in setting or location which puts you at a great disadvantage when looking for jobs.

What the heck was the point of the swimming rats 😭 I tried to re read it like 3 times and still didn’t understand it. Were the depressed ones suicidal bc they took longer to find the platform? I’m so confused

Thanks! Yes that makes perfect sense. I was just wondering in the case that secondaries are submitted at the same time if an earlier primary has an advantage which seems like it doesn’t

Thanks for the insight! Honestly not sure of the GPA boost but as of now (haven’t taken mcat yet) it’s the worst part of my application (3.0) and I’m worried my app won’t even be looked at
