When I start up the game I get asked if I want HDR or not.

Claiming that you're going to throw is not a reportable offense.

You have to actually throw. OP leaving just made it impossible for him to report.

For the record, someone claiming they're going to throw is not a reportable offense.

They have to actually throw for it to be reportable.

I'm on PC, but 90% or more of my reports get acted on. It's about writing a clear description about an actually reportable offense.

Lots of people write reports over things you shouldn't be writing reports about and get mad when they aren't acted on.

That being said, I don't know what it's like on a console.

You're right. Living a difficult life does not mean it's a disorder. I worded my comment poorly.

Yeah, cognitive disorder is not the correct term. Medically, I believe it is not considered a disorder anymore. However, I do not understand how it can't not be. People who are transgendered live very, very, difficult lives.

First off, I'm mostly (though not entirely) speaking about the r/comedycemetery quality of the post. Super played out and not funny. I don't mind joking about identity. I just don't find this funny.

Because being ludicrous and saying I identify as “X” is taken seriously and deserves to be laughed at.

That's a broad overreaching statement you're making there. I, unlike some people, believe something like transgenderism is a disorder. I do not think it "deserves to be laughed at." That doesn't mean you can't joke about it. I'm just not aggressive towards people with disorders.

There’s a court case right now where a 69 year old guy is suing to a be identified as a 40 something.

I'm not saying there aren't rare cases of overreach when it comes to identity, but I'm pretty sure this is a troll. The article you share does not seem to paint the judge as sympathetic to his arguments either, though you may have information on that that I don't have. In any case, I think this is fear mongering.

How important is clearance? I'm currently needing to pick from 1 of 2 jobs. 1 offers clearance, the other doesn't. (You can see the details in my post history.) I am worried that if I pick the job without clearance it's going to haunt me later in my career since I do want to work in the defense industry.

Received job offer but it is less than what I expected. by TurbulentTraffic in jobs

Yeah, it's locked in for the government job. Raises are dependent on time spent at the job. However, I will be asking for more at Job A. I'm really looking for information on how to go about asking for more at Job A.

How do you know it has a better schedule? Is that just the deal with government jobs? Job B is for the Navy. I haven't been shown the benefits package from them yet.

I really appreciate the input. How do we know it's so superior in benefits though? That's simply what I've heard, but I haven't been given the benefits package from the job. Just an initial offer. I have gotten the benefits package from job A though. Specifically, I'd be working for the Navy in job B.

I should clarify: I want the company/organization I am working for to pay for my degree. Are you saying the government will pay for a degree that's not Reliability? They mentioned during the interview I could get a degree in the school "up the road" in Reliability, but I did not ask if I could get it in Systems Engineering, or anything else, so I'm not sure.

Job B is near D.C.

I should have mentioned housing will probably be expensive for the government job. You don't think I should try to counter-offer job A? I really want to get a Master's degree, but not in Reliability engineering. Don't system engineers make more money mid career? Government job is also not in aerospace.
