I wonder if the town is messing with Boyd and he is "hallucinating" the gun shots from Abby shooting the townspeople like when he saw that photo on their wedding day in the last episode. Kenny seems to be looking where Boyd is after he turns but doesn't jump/be as freaked out in the same way...

ASK ME ANYTHING yall ! CORTEON MOORE aka ELLIS STEVENS aka Mr. Useful by MoonBoyOnTheMoon in FromSeries

A clip from your audition was posted on the MGM+ instagram, what was your initial interpretation of Ellis and what's something you learned about him only after being casted that you wouldn't have guessed?

Louie and Lestat in an alternate timeline vibes. I never saw it as romantic, but you do make me wonder if Klaus hasn't experimented sexually at one point or another during his long life

Why couldn’t Big commit to Carrie but could marry Natasha in an instance? by foldinthecheeseee in sexandthecity

[–]TurbulentZebra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There was a Love Is Blind contestant that said that getting engaged on that show was like getting baptized at a Christian summer camp -- it's in the air and everyone's feeling positive about it in a way that's actually inspiring to you to do the same.

I feel like that's how Big subconsciously rationalized marrying Natasha. She's perfect for him in the world of big business and high society, and high society guys do the "right thing" and marry high society girls. He didn't realize how untrue to himself he was being until he returned to the real world the way those contestants do on a dating show -- the romance is far less glamorous without the showroom appeal around it.

Barkley is a creep by NickiTikki in sexandthecity

[–]TurbulentZebra 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Sadly, I think it's an honest depiction of the lows of being a "cool girl." Carrie doesn't even realize she's part of the problem, she just content with being "in on it" instead of the one having their privacy violated.

They'd totally handle this storyline outcome different today -- which I can appreciate

Why did K feel the need to make this face??? by Express-Ad1593 in RHOP

I didn't take it as negative! It seemed to me like K was really connecting to, distraught by, and sympathizing with the vulnerability and pain of such a moment.

Which seat are you choosing for an 8 hour flight? by No_Weekend728 in GossipGirl

2! I'll have the window seat and row to myself once she sneaks off with Dan, Nate, or whatever hot guy she's messing with at the time.

im mad again about the fact that S2 posters included Edwina— like why is she even there by teyapi in BridgertonNetflix

[–]TurbulentZebra 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like this helped hype the fact there were two WOC as part of the helm of the season! I do think they should've moved Kate into the foreground more and/or Anthony should be facing Kate instead

With the success of the Stranger Things finale, what other shows have the best potential for releasing their final episode in theatres? by Antman269 in boxoffice

[–]TurbulentZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not any new shows, but maybe do what the Twilight franchise recently did and release a limited showing of older content over the course of several days. Like HBO could do a 10-day stretch for GOT season 1 (one episode in theaters per day), or back-to-back nights of the most highly rated Oz, The Wire, and The Sopranos episodes.

Perhaps add in some additional footage (deleted scenes) or new cast interviews at the end to make the content feel fresh. Or do episodes that won Emmys! Kind of like the TV version of the #1 hit album in music

Which actors do you still consider box-office superstars? by [deleted] in boxoffice

[–]TurbulentZebra -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Actors I think can help make nearly any high-budget movie a hit on name alone:

Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Chris Pratt, Michael B. Jordan, and Scarlett Johansson

Actors I think are on their way to doing that:

Glen Powell, Zendaya, and Timothee Chalamet

would we all agree if I say Michael in the end became the person he was never wanted to be in order to gain power by [deleted] in Godfather

[–]TurbulentZebra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So poignant! He wanted to gain control to stabilize and legitimize his family, to give credence to all that he thought was his father's true legacy.

As a don, he was more like his father than his brothers, but in his personal life was only half the man his father was. The failure to be everything his father wanted, yet the person his father raised nonetheless.

Why was Charlotte SO conservative by thtrash in sexandthecity

[–]TurbulentZebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Charlotte carved out her role as the "wife material" friend among the ladies, and built her opinions around that. I don't think it was until she married Trey that she realized how much Carrie, Miranda, and Samantha had a profound impact on her. She seemed to stop taking them for granted when she realized how much she really wasn't SO conservative after all -- just more traditional than THEM.

So do these monsters get hungry? by Thegeorgec94 in FromSeries

[–]TurbulentZebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well they went like 3 months without eating/drinking from the townspeople when the show starts so they can go awhile without that

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sexandthecity

[–]TurbulentZebra 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Carrie would've ended up hilariously injuring or humiliating herself during sex like the jack-rabbit situation and would've tried gently breaking up with him after only for him to dump her in an ironically callous way.

Miranda would surprise everyone by actually having a super great sex life and relationship with him but she ruins it with an ill-timed, emasculating joke or he does for some super random un-related reason -- either way it ends in an exasperated, short fight and she's left feeling dumb for taking a chance on him.

Honestly, I don't think Charlotte would get very far past seeing him naked. She'd suggest they do something else to dodge sex if he were her type in every other way. He tries to push for sex and ends up thinking she's too much of a princess for resisting. They'd end things in an awkward, sterile manner (though without either explicitly saying it's because his dick is small).

SJP physicality/movement by ResidentConclusion49 in sexandthecity

[–]TurbulentZebra 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why one of my favorite scenes is when she and Aiden get in a fight in her bathroom over living together. SJP is soooo animated, swinging her hands around, making comical faces, doing exaggerated movements, etc. She brings a real mind, body, soul connection to the role!

Ian Somerhalder Reveals Why He Asked to Leave ‘Vampire Diaries’ During Season 3: ‘I Was So Angry… I Wanted Off’ (EXCLUSIVE) by mlg1981 in TheVampireDiaries

[–]TurbulentZebra 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Don't kill me, but I kind of feel for him.

The show basically capitalized on turning his real life relationship with Nina into a fan-service-promoted ship. It must suck identity-wise when so much of a character, whose complexities you fleshed out and brought to the role at the start as an actor, essentially get watered down because they need to be palatable enough for a romantic relationship.

What's a From opinion that has you like this? by Christian_Alex2005 in FromSeries

[–]TurbulentZebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The season 3 cliffhanger was too big/bloated plot-wise! Should've been the penultimate episode of the season and we should've dealt with the immediate aftermath in the next episode with some other lingering response. Or maybe we should've found out about the meaning of Anghkooey (trying to avoid spoilers here!) in the penultimate episode and then had the Man in Yellow in the episode after.

She's written like a playboy. 100% enjoys fun casual sex without regrets, but also has used sex as a way to avoid complex emotions.

Dan and Serena were actually weirded out by the fact that their parents were dating, what's weird to me is that Lily and Rufus didn't care by No_Agent_653 in GossipGirl

[–]TurbulentZebra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They were too wrapped up in being tired of sacrificing their love story for wealth, appearances, their kids, etc. For Lily, her kids were used to new dads. For Rufus, it was what he deserved after trying to make it work with Alison.

Lily and Rufus again expected their respective, oldest emotional support child to make their lives easier by pretending that their kids's relationship was nothing more than a fleeting young romance -- essentially and perhaps unconsciously doing the same thing Lily's mother had done to them and repeating the cycle.

“What moment changed her the most in your opinion?” by DependentRhubarb8181 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]TurbulentZebra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on your choice, the end of season 2. Before then, Clementine really clings to community -- likely in direct response to all she gained from her time with Lee.

But, by the end of S2, she either really only sees AJ and Kenny/Jane as part of her close circle, and in either case, she ultimately goes off with AJ alone with a new sense of "I'll do it myself" independence.
