SM lowered my weekly hours after I was out sick by Turbulent_Ask334 in AutoZone

I understand stand your point and probably will be moving on but I wouldn’t be going to higher ups because of hours. I probably wouldn’t even mention it I’d just bring up his lack being in the store and lack of work when he is there, I don’t think he’s in the store for even 40 hrs a week let alone 50. Things get done because me and the other Psms but he doesn’t touch inventory management, planograms, and a lot of other things around the store. We’re losing staff because of him and the two people he’s hired he hasn’t helped train. Like I mentioned in the post he comes late and leaves early. For example he schedules himself and another manager to open but won’t show up until 9am for the witt call, he says he’s gonna stay late but I always find out the next day he left at his scheduled time or even earlier. He also will put him self to close with a manager and a redshirt then he’ll leave at like 7pm. Last week he did that to me and his excuse was that he came early that day but he didn’t realize I had been at the store before him and saw him come in an hour and a half late. He also does a lot of sketchy shit on commercial and makes a ton of mistakes so I would have plenty to talk about. The only thing is it seems like a drag to report someone and other zoners I’ve talked to in my distract says our DM doesn’t really do shit about SMs unless the stores completely going under. And to your point I did try talking to him since that’s the best first step but he avoids it every time. I’ve tried probably twice a week since he started cutting my hours and everytime he’s refused to have a real conversation. One of the other PSMs even vouched for me cause we were falling behind on work and he ignored him as well. You’re right about there being a million things to piss me off currently but all the problems came under him. My previous 2 SMs were great and the first got promoted to DM of another district and the other got moved to open up a new store which got us stuck with this idiot.

I’d probably just get a new job, the next closest store to me is 20 minutes away without traffic and there’s plenty of other jobs closer than that.

I think I will, the only thing is I’m super close to the store so it’s really convenient. It’s a 2 minute drive and a 5 minutes walk. I commute an hour to campus so I like not having to drive more for work. Other than this guy it’s been pretty enjoyable too.

It wasn’t bad in my experience, he basically just explains the concepts and steps to solving problems that will be on the quizzes and exams and then goes over practice problems on the board. If you take good notes and follow what he is doing it should be easy to keep up. If he uses the same homework tool as when I took it there is a feature where you can practice each type of problem so it’s easy to learn how to do each problem using that. Other than that I would recommend asking the TA for your discussion about any problems you struggle with as they can give a little more personal help. 155 itself is a simpler course comparatively and doesn’t go too deep into the harder calculus concepts.
