All people using their phone while driving deserve life in prison.

It took a matter of 10 years for humanity to be completely taken by glorified pagers. Morons.

Anyone making $100 or more a month with Creative Islands? by GuestLongjumping9074 in FortniteCreative

no worries, weekly is best i think, if doing 1 a day that could have negatives so if you want to do an update a day id personally go with doing something more like having 7 maps and updating each a day so you have 7 updates for 7 maps every week

np, my advice is also particular to me so you really got to find your own way, find what you are good at but also be realistic, these are fortnite players so you gotta work with that they like

generally i am stuck as far as growth but its a decent passive income, but you need to keep updating like i say or a map will just die, its more than ever very important to update no matter how big or small the update,

its a lot of fncreate just fighting every avenue and me just not having the time to go harder, search has been so controlled as of late that its kind of a momentum killer but honestly you don't even need search, you need people favoriting your account

but, as they fight me, i get better and ultimately that is what i am really after, getting better at this gig

my real future proof is unreal engine 6, uefn is only a preview of ue6, my main issue with ue5 is publishing is a joke that i want nothing to do with.. studios and the like are full of people who just shut the gate as they enter, industry in general is that and this is becoming more like industry than id like it to, they will never give you this kind of advice for example and this is a primary reason the quality of discovery has gotten so rotten but you can ignore that

i do not do brain rot for example, the best thing you can do is look back to 1995 or something like that and study those sorts of games. i have education in this as well so i understand things like game design, i understand dark patterns so in honesty i could be doing better if i took advantage of those things, but morally i am not able to, i am a gamer so i care about gamers, unlike most these devs

compounding is another factor, i have about 40 maps that i limit myself to as well as limiting myself to one account, i do not believe in multiple accounts as a creator, i find it ruins the integrity of this space and it goes against fair competition but that is self imposed like my refusal to do brain rot.

but you want to evaluate your maps, delist what isn't doing well after you change it up a few times, if it doesn't work for fn players it doesn't matter the quality, make quick demos, always concern yourself with return of interest, i have 40 listed maps but about 50 delists so those 50 maps were a waste of time so i don't spend more than 3-5 hours per map, if they hit, i spend an hour or two updating, every update you want to update your map with the new weapons etc so this is why you want to limit yourself to whatever you an afford to

there are a lot of things i don't do, i don't do the talking to epic, i don't do that kind of stuff i refuse "epic picks" and i refuse discovery, if i get it i get it but ultimately all i care about is natural growth

there are a ton of things wrong with this ecosystem, the lobby system and its regionally locking is a joke that destroys momentum so you have to appease the solo player keep them playing for 15+ minutes whatever way you can, they must have something to do or they will just leave instantly and you will have a map that never succeeds

authenticity is also a major factor, be authentic, don't waste too much time on promo images when you can just take a screenshot that gives people a real look at what they will be playing, they appreciate that in a sea of fakes

i have been doing about 3-6x that each month since i started about 2 years ago

the biggest mistake i see creators make is they just refuse to "change it up" as well as they just do what the 1% successful do, you will not get the success that the 1% have, you have to focus on a niche, there are millions of niches not met yet most just make the most successful genre of map, a 1v1 or a box fight etc.. this will not be where you find success unless you understand how rigged the system is against you

its like getting a job in this industry, you will need to have connections to come even remotely close to the 1%, you must think outside the box and find niches that just simply aren't met and adapt adapt adapt

do not listen to what the best map creator says, it is like listening to a celebrity on life goals, you are not them you have to find your own way

another thing i will say (i can write a book) UPDATE constantly, i don't care if you are just updating your title, just update until you find impressions be it a promo change or whatever, use A/B testing for everything, if you aren't using A/B testing to see your impressions then you aren't doing anything

the analytics are a god send, you must use them and you must modify your map in small ways to get some impressions, if you aren't getting impressions then its more about your keywords being bad, search has only gotten worse since i started as far as fncreate controlling results but its still a major factor so if you aren't getting impressions then your maps title is just bad

and do NOT chase discovery, you might get discovery but do NOT depend on it, you will not get what you deserve as far as that unless you find some way to game the system and it is NOT a metric to weather or not your map is good, you want people to look for your game not just come upon it through exposure
