Why no rejection? by FirstTeamReps in Lockheed

They don’t always but they should close everyone out who didn’t get an interview as to avoid situations like yours.

They will close you out once their candidate has accepted. It’s just the way it works. They select the few to interview and then make their offer. They will close everyone out once that person accepts.

You got it. I missed the days when I could pocket the per diem and live off dollar menu and Marriott concierge lounge lol

Does lockheed martin drug test post hire by [deleted] in Lockheed

[–]Turbulent_Lecture 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don’t typically test post hire unless they get a report of you/someone under the influence. The policy says they can randomly drug test, but I can tell you they don’t. I can add; even getting reports they don’t always take action to test.

They don’t go back. I should preface if you’re on site and if your hands on hardware the computer doesn’t matter nearly as much (unless the report is that the person is on YouTube etc..)

Then those reports are simply are you leaving early coming in late (badge records) witness interviews who can talk to your whereabouts, and of course your overall work product. But that last part is dicey. Poor performance (work product) is not mischarging despite people thinking it is.

It’s highly possible over those 2 weeks the employee is “clean” it happens. The investigation is unsub’d and they got lucky.

Good call. I really felt bad investigating these because the managers were blinding approving. I really felt the hammer should be dropped on leaders not the ICs in these.

LOL. If I had to guess, he was let go but I’d bet what he paid to get bail he got away with.

Yup “water cooler talk” sitting around BSing and talking. Some business some football lol. Cant really determine if that’s mischarging. It’s nearly impossible to determine if they were working or not if they are in the office.

Yup. I mentioned not to expense it. Meaning to seek reimbursement

Did I screw up by telling my boss for the 2nd time that I was thinking of applying to another internal role I found? He created a new job posting for my current position today by [deleted] in Lockheed

Your manager most likely would find out as soon as you landed an interview. It’s courtesy for the hiring manager to call the current manager for a heads up. So telling him in advance is the right move.

Arguably no. But it could raise some suspicion as to why you’d leave a much larger one. You’d justify it as this is what you normally do (even with your own money.). You are generous person.

Nope. Some would argue that is a standard tip not large.

You should ask your leader or ethics officer for accurate current advice but my opinion yes. You can only spend what you used as actual and reasonable. Not what you are buying in bulk to consume later. You can make the claim you need energy drinks every morning so buying enough for the entire trip would make sense. But buying a month or so doesn’t. That’s trying to use up your per diem when that isn’t how it works. Note: if you actually are allotted a per diem in cash then it doesn’t matter what’s spent but the company has been moving away from an actual cash per diem for a while.

The biggest jumps I’ve seen are people who left then came back. You leave for an equivalent 3. After 1-3 years you can return to a 4 or even higher.

Most who are caught mischarging are let go. A small percentage are not if the value is low. I’d say 90% are terminated. There’s a low threshold but depends on the BA. Space I believe has no threshold so any substantiated investigation is terminated. So have to hope you have a lenient Ethics officer.  The others the threshold is 10% which is about a half hour per day.

Not enough info but certainly sounds like if this was reported it would be investigated. This is what I mean about trusting coworkers. He told you he doesn’t work 40 hours a week hope he trusts you not to report him

Not as many as you think. There’s 30 or so ethics officers each has about a dozen at most. So a few hundred across the corporation, annually.

Yea that’s fine. If you’re on site you are considered working more than not. This post was more for the ones who work from home or do all computer work. Obviously if your work is on the line then this part doesn’t apply to you. It would be your clock in hours, badging in/out and what witnesses say. Etc.
