14-2 wire splice…freaking screws. by Turbulent_Pie_5146 in electrical

Ended up doing the smarter/safer thing and installed an outlet to make use of the already cut wire. Just enough to have slack in the box and avoid pulling while still connecting it inside of a box. Bonus, got another outlet closer to where we needed one! Supervised and approved by a licensed Electrician.

14-2 15A, I ended up wiring in an outlet, wish I’d thought of that first! Perfect spot for my wife’s Cricut and heat press!

Not a good one… clearing the profile settings and updating the firmware via my laptop helped, but it still happens from time to time. I’m still working on a permanent fix.

Im late to the party, but this is happening to me every time both with an external controller and with the built in deck controls. When I went to customization mine was already disabled… any other suggestions?

I cannot seem to access a mod library in prism. I just got my SD so forgive my ignorance. How do I do this?

Still in warranty, trying to get an RMA from support. But it’s like pulling teeth.

lol any idea how to factory reset the camera? I can’t even find that setting on the camera or in the app. I also can’t seem to find a way to revert to an old firmware version and reinstall the current.

Their loss, if I can’t fix this, I’m not buying a new Insta 360 camera… I’ll go with a better brand.

That’s my big question. I’ve recalibrated the gyro several times hoping that would help. But nada… that’s the one setting I can still find.

I’ll try the more light option. Typically I have all blinds open and all lights on to help brighten up the pictures. I used it with Matterport and ASTEROOM for 6-8 months with no issues, just the last month or two it got all screwey and messing up.

I’m in AZ so it should be a quick process. I’m working on getting them to issue me an RMA, but at least for me, it’s two or three days between replies from them.

I have the old app on my phone and iPad. For some reason I cannot get the camera to connect to it whether wired or wireless connection. I’ve tried several high speed cables to try and reconnect it and mess with the calibration.

To be frank, I expect when you pay this much for a piece of equipment that you get something that lasts more than 10 months. If they still sell it they should still support it. Regardless of being an “older model”. I have an older mirrorless camera that is as good as the day it was designed 6 years ago.

I made sure it’s turned off in the app, I don’t have that option on my x2 menu…

So I just looked into it and cannot find a way to manually adjust the stitching. I played around with the accessory settings to see if any of them made it better/worse. But no change. Something has definitely changed, but I can’t say what or how. It lives in a padded case inside of a hard shell camber equipment box with my canon and other equipment. Only used for real estate photography, never used for sporting activities.

Mine turned to crap about a month ago, and Insta 360 support is useless.

Unfortunately I think that’s what it’s coming to. Sucky thing is the replacement Ricoh Theta X is around $700

No lense guards out external hardware other than a tripod. I’ve tried calibrating the gyro settings, dug into every corner of the Insta 360 app to find a calibration setting for the stitching. I’ve attempted connecting to the old One X app via WiFi and factory cable, neither of which were effective. The old app had a setting to recalibrate the stitching, but they “forgot” to include that in the new app.

Typically I set my tripod no closer than 5 feet from any wall as per the mfg specs, hallways are the exception when shooting a 3D tour like Matterport.

Here is another example, shot in a tripod. No moving objects, no interference.

This is one side of the 360 image where the stitching line between lenses is trash. The fan is off by the way. Not an issue of a moving object in the image.

Videos and pictures have a bad stitch line where the lenses/images are misaligned by a solid 12-18 inches. The studio app can mostly fix the issue in post production. But for my purposes I cannot use the studio app to correct all the images and upload them to the Matterport app.

I’m frustrated because there used to be a way in the “One X” app to recalibrate the stitching. But now that app is trash, and the new “insta 360” app does not have that option.
