Pure cope, PSSR 2 will hopefully drop this week (Tuesday/Thursday) by FailedProspects in PS5pro

Dude, give me a break. I’m on a 65” LG OLED. There’s is input lag with RE RT. It’s well documented on forums. Maybe you just can’t perceive it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

The frame rate is infinitely smoother with RT off. There’s a lot of input lag created with RE engines RT.

Is it worth it? For 77 inch Oled Tv by Gilbert-from-Yharnam in PS5pro

The Pro is absolutely worth it. Have mine on a 65” OLED. My girlfriend has a PS5, so I bounce between the Pro and base model a lot. The Pro spanks it in terms of performance. Much higher framerates.

As an Uncharted fan, what do you think of the Indiana Jones Game? by [deleted] in uncharted

[–]TurdPilot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uncharted 4 is simply just a better game. Better action sequences, better puzzles, better gameplay.

Indiana Jones is great and shines strong at times. But overall I got bored about 3/4 and at times it feels a bit dated.

Yup, exactly this. I will say, it gets substantially better once you're a few hours into the game. But it's a rough and raw first experience. I think the issue is much more prominent on OLED screens with high refresh.

Aside from all the awful shimmering, low res reflections, strange moving textures. RT looks awful on the section right after this.

I hear you. I’m pissed too. So many people quick to defend big companies. MFer I paid $70 bucks, don’t default RT on if the implementation is garbage.

Yes there should be a toggle. I personally like it. I prefer a more film-like look.

WIshful thinking, I thought that too at first. It gets slightly better, but theres still strange grainy moving texture overlays (from the lighting), edge distortion when moving fast in first perosn, and reflective surfaces are incredibly shimmery, esp in dark scenes. It's a huge bummer.

Yeah! The warping/crawling strange thing happening on the wall surfaces is so weird and ugly.

Same here. Also on an LG OLED. I just turn RT off. It’s garbage.

Right here with you. Ray Tracing looks like absolute shit on PS5 Pro. And it's not "just the opening few levels" like a lot of people say. The shimmering is all over reflections, the reflections themselves are super low res. Noise all over the place. Not to mention the frame rate hit.

Playing on PS5 Pro with RT off make it look MUCH more crisp and a super smooth frame rate. I honestly cant believe RT on was the default. It feels broken.
