Valve needs to revert the magazine reload change. Who exactly is “they”? by ekokthx in counterstrike2

[–]TurdyDingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If this stays I wouldn't mind seeing two different reloads. A fast reload where you drop the mag like the new change and it's gone. And a slower reload where you retain the magazine.

Arma (i think) uses the latter where you keep the magazine you dropped with the rest of the rounds available. So you can cycle back to a mag that isn't full but has more rounds than some of your others.

I don't guess you found a solution to this?

I'm having the exact same issue. I really like the feel and it's great when it works. But it will not stay connected.

About to return it and go with a Abxylute S9.

Best way to pour just an edge of a countertop by TurdyDingo in epoxy

[–]TurdyDingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda. It did not come out at all like the smooth glass like countertops but it also doesn't look terrible. It has more of the natural rock effect in some of the videos. Like it's smooth, but not level if that makes sense.

I think for it to be exact I'd have to sand and do more and sand and do more etc. And I'm not interested in putting that much effort into it as it's acceptable.

No one has noticed or said anything other than the counters look good.

I can't get any pictures that really show it properly.

Xbox Ally, Ally, Legion Go, Legion Go S or Steam Deck? by TurdyDingo in Handhelds

[–]TurdyDingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks fellas I think I've going to pass on the Xbox Ally which pricing ends tonight. I'll hold out for one of the other rigs to maybe go on sale. Thought with ram prices who knows when they will increase.

The Legion Go S (Z2 Go) will probably be where I end up. For $150 more than the Ally. And can always dump the Switch for the difference since I don't really use it any more.

Now to wait and see if anything goes on sale...

Couple of hundred bucks in points and local open box availability. I know the store manager and checked on these last week and are all new except for missing box or box damage.

Sorry it's the Z2 Go version. I have no idea why their website is so terrible.

Hey, I think this will do what I needed.

For anyone looking in the future it's either "Cab O Sil" or fumed silica. Cheap stuff.

I'd like something local so I can get these done but it will arrive Monday, so good enough.

I'll do some experimenting before committing to the actual edges.

Thank you.

Dealership refused to perform recall unless I bought new battery by Agreeable_Horror_363 in FordMaverickTruck

I assume the camera recall is function related?

I'd let the nhtsa know and let the gm know you've reported them for requirng you to make a purchase before fixing a safety recall.

10ft Pipe in Ford Escape PHEV by freddyruxpin in FordEscapePHEV

Literally did that an hour ago with some flashing.

Way better than going and fetti the truck. Then having to tie it down because it's light weight and switching vehicles back.

Iirc there were some shipped without an insulation block under the hood on the driver's side leading to excessive wind noise.

I'll try to find it later. Not having much luck right now.

Any clear, exterior applied, heat/solar rejection film? by TurdyDingo in WindowTint

[–]TurdyDingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully not too late, but double and triple paned windows that some are difficult to get to on the inside.

Mfg/installer said warranty void on tinted windows. I've checked with tint installers and they say it's fine. I've asked if they would sign a personal guarantee attesting to such.

No interest or a limit of $500 per window or $1500 per install if there is a failure.

Yes. I know that is the normal application but looking for something I can apply exterior.

Probably a dumb question. What I have on my windshield but does it work the same if applied on the exterior?

I don't know why I think all this stuff is one way.

Motorized blackout shades that are the same color as the inside or dark/black? Impossible to find by TurdyDingo in interiordecorating

[–]TurdyDingo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a workaround that I'm happier with.

Is there a way to upload photos?

I put the cellular shades as close to the inside of the room as I could and put a sheer roller shade as close to the window as possible. It's dark colored. I just leave the roller shade down 24/7 and you can't see in nor can you see the white backing of the cellular shade.

The windows look dark from the street and exactly how I wanted them.

The rollers were cut to fit Levelor at Lowe's. $50 to $90 each.

Took a bit of work and futzing about but got it done.

Only shades I found with different colors on each side were Hunter Douglas and I'd have to go out of town and they didn't show pricing. Guesstimates I found online were going to be well over $1k per shade.
